He was like an animal with his huge neck, brute strength and monstrous punches.

spindly legs... weak knees. he was only good for the quick knock out, unlike foreman and holyfield who were solidly built.where were his monstrous punches when he resorted to taking a chunk out of holyfield's ear?

"spindly legs and weak knees"? huh? where do you think the majority of his power came from? time to download some of his old fights and have a look... To say Tyson didn't have knockout power in both hands during his prime is ridiculous at the very least. Tyson was past his prime by the time he fought Holyfield. I've always thought that if Tyson had fought Holyfield during his prime, it would have been a quick knockout. I'm sure that statement is going to draw some negative comments from people... But if you look at Tyson's earlier fights, he was one of the most devastating fighters in history.

Don't let "short and stocky" make you think Tyson wasn't "powerfully built". It was his combination of quickness, speed, coming at you from weird angles, and absolutely devastating power that made him extremely feared. Plus you're comparing three fighters (Tyson, Foreman, Holyfield) with VASTLY different physical builds. Foreman was considerably larger than the other two even during his prime (never mind the Foreman grill years...) and still owns the highest knockout percentage of any champion heavyweight in modern boxing history. Holyfield was one of the best conditioned boxers in history. I wouldn't go so far as to say he was as FEARED as Tyson or Foreman though. Then again, both Tyson AND Foreman had their aura of indestructibility shattered...

Screw the heavyweights anyway. Go to the smaller weight classes if you want some excitement.
