bobbyboy112003
1.Get out of here = leave me alone, stop the non-sense, you got me 2.What's up = how are you, a general hello 3.come on = follow me, stop it, leave me alone 4.What's that = tell me what you want to say These are some common English expressions and I can expand/explain them tremendously, for example: Bobby-"hey Conor" Conor-"hey Bobby, what's up?" Bobby-"I have a message from Jay" Conor-"oh yeah, what's that?" Bobby-"he can't wait to beat you at chess again" Conor-"get out of here!" Bobby-"he can't beat you Conor?" Conor-"come on Bobby" So, i'd like to learn some common expressions that Thai's use, if you please

bobbyboy112003
Chanthaburi | Chonburi, Sing Buri etc..I didn't think this was worthy of starting a new thread over. Hi Wasabi, you may very well be correct, but can you expand on the "buri" meanings for me? And do you know any expressions that I can learn and incorporate into my Thai? Hi SpeedTriple, I'm not quite as advanced as you and others here. Could you put your comment into what they call (kareoke)? thanks guys Bobby

SpeedTriple
Hey thanks Rich, apparently Wasabi's question may have warranted a new thread, cause I completely didn't understand the question lolMay I ask what is the meaning of "buri" Rich? Ah, the cunning Wasabi hid his question in the subject, it definitiely did warrant a new thread, cos it was about a totally different subject to this thread. Wasabi man, if in doubt create a new thread.... Admin has an impressive redundant array in his server, our job is to fill it up as quickly as possible. BB, hint.... look at my first post in this thread for the definition of "Buri" hehe Rich.

Witchyadidjya.....in english means Hey Harold.....Were goin down to the pub for some beers, ya didn't bring your wife witchyadidja.....LOL hahahaha Actually, our ever sarcastic friend Junk, brought up a good point "what are you" many times is said quickly....so you have: "whacha" whacha talking about? whacha gonna do? or what about: "where are you" wherya going? wherya wanna meet? Seems we in English have a problem with any question word where "are" follows. How are you? = Howya doing? And of course many of us from Brooklyn really mangle English 8) whachagonnadooo wheryagoin howyadoon
bobbyboy112003
Well my attempt to get a quick question and answer turned into a total hijacking of this thread, so I should have started a new one. I figured Buri meant something along the lines of town, but I wasn't sure. hahahaha. Hijack any time you want man....as long as we learn something
