What's your view?

My fifth floor apartment is on Phaholyothin Soi 4 and I have a relatively unobstructed view looking south from my dining room window.

From there, I have a nice view of the bkk skyline, highlighted by the Bayoke Skyhotel (Bayoke 2). I can also see the Amari Watergate hotel, Central World Plaza, Four Seasons Place, and part of Siam Paragon.

On holidays like the new year and the King's birthday I can see fireworks from Sanam Luang, Chao Phraya River, and Central World Plaza.

So what can you see?

At least you don't have to watch the buffalos, and report the sick ones!

this is like a tribute thread isn't it.

in a way, seeing the departed's writing as if it was written minutes ago, is more moving than having a bunch of living people sit around and talk about them.

reminds me of the scene in 'chung king express' a little bit. takeshi kaneshiro played a mute guy who lived with his father in chungking mansions. one day he came home with a video camera and obsessively taped his father doing ordinary things. after his father died, he quietly and somewhat reverently watched the tape. very understated but i'll admit i cried...
