I thought this latest piece of gossip from the Bangkok Post was pretty amusing - THAI refusing access to flights based on political party!

It's quite a surprise as I just watched this news on TV. It reminds

me of a conversation I had with a taxi driver few weeks ago.

Long story makes it short. A taxi driver said he drove pass around

protesting area and there were few people waved then he stopped.

Those people opened the door then asked to a taxi driver "Are you with

TRT/PPP?" Then he said "Are you with PAD? If so, don't get in my car."

Then he drove off...

No comment, if you ask me, and if only that taxi driver tell no lie....

In the future you will be asked the following when booking your flight?

Economy or Business? Window or aisle? Any special meal requirments? Are you a member of a political party and if so which one?

I think Thai Airways is overestimating the number of thai people who actually SUPPORT the PAD...

Don't read too much into it mate, it was two flights and the Thai union has an ongoing dispute with the govt. The captain on the first flight does have the ultimate call for whatever real or perceived reason.

I am sure they enjoyed the prestige of Airasia!
