Babyoiy: thats waht I mean, as you are grown up in Buddhist religion, you say that Buddha did not want ppl to believe in these things...so why then are Thai monks promoting these modern day miracles, good and bad ones and magic what ever color. Thats what I find sad. Ok, the background behind my reasoning is that I think Buddhist teachings at their core and purest form are good, as is Islam and Christianity, but then these things seeped in and "tainted" them. In many way extreme islamists, witch hunts by catholics or thai monks promoting belief in goddesess and gods that were unknown to Lord Buddha. Anyhow...my two cents. :)

Some of students will try to create new things out of what their mentor/teacher originally taught them...

Some of students are not 100% believe and follow their teacher/mentor so they start their own research thus this such thing can happen.. (some monks do study black magic)

Its not Buddhist way for whatever magic/miracle. Buddhist supposed to believe in the thing that can be proved, reasonable which we know many things cant really be described exactly but it does happen/exist.

Oh yeah, Mrs. Shinawatra is strongly believe in magic (i dont know which word I choose use really) thing, she has an advisor for this such thing.

I do believe Black Magice does exist but I don't believe that everyone who claimed they could do black magic can really do it..

If a beautiful + rich woman like Angie in desperate need of black magic in order to get a man how about normal women like most of us!!!!and if she really used it, she has problem with self-esteem, self-confident and all kind of self-bla bla bla.. I think some smartass in TH made the story up just to get some money out off some desperate woman?s pockets.

If my hub doesn?t come home I won?t waste my time burning his pants and hoping for him to come back. The first thing to do is call my lawyer and get a divorce fast!!!!!

Oh almost forgot.. screw black magic!!!!

I found that article about Angie in a non-Thai site tho' but u know now there are OK/Hello in Thai version so more hollywood gossip for some Thai to talk about.

And no, I never believe AJ really use that... I was laughing to get to read it. AJ probably need to use black magic to get rid off her stalkers than get someone to love her.

hahaa P' Nicky ... That's what I'd as well ... To be honest though, I'm kind of curious about it. I guess I google too much a read too much crap about it.

My mum who is strongly religious and done her Buddhist study in some sort of school of nun and monk somewhere in Thailand said the same thing.

She couldn't explain much about Khmer Black Magic as she said it could be real, just trick or a coincident. I got this from google lastnight ... I covered my eyes half of the trick so I couldn't really see the whole trick and see any mistake they might have made ...

YOu think its good to use Black Magic which includes sacrificing humans including children as well as animals. I agree with Loburt thats its not a good thing , not at all.

Outside of Africa (or African communities) black magic, as most people on here see it, does not really exist.

People in the US and Europe who call themselves Satanists are usually as**oles playing with magik from books.

It rarely involves sacrifice of any living thing, let alone humans.

In fact, most pagans or Wiccans who give any kind of sacrifice., give offerings of food, akin to the offerings placed in spirit houses in Th.

Africa has seen a resurgence of witchcraft in the last decade, as Catholocism loses its once strong grip.

Tanazania has seen some brutal murders of albinos in the last year or 2, as it is believed albino body parts are potent in potions for increasing wealth.

Eagle: Hey, who am I or you to judge how people make financial decisions. It's their money or money trusted to them by their investors. Someone does statistical analysis and liability studies, someone sacrifices a goat. Business as usual, animal offerings have long traditions in many belief systems.

What ever floats your boat and helps you to make that decision where to spend your next billion bahts, right. Atleast you got someone else to blame if the investment goes into rocks haha. "It was bad goat, probably a black sheep..."

(But if you are making decisions where to invest tax payers money, then I would say that is not that good thing to do, I mean the sacrifying a goat or what not to decide the next governmental investment plan etc. :))

The human sacrifice part ofcourse was some sort of mistake there, no one can really believe that kind of thing happens these days anymore. Right.

People do kill people yes they do. From sacrificial alter killings to sacrificing whole countries economies for sake of greed like the latest world economy scandal. All war is sacrificing life for a cause. If someone wants to sacrifice a goat its their business but I'm not one to believe it will do more then provide meat for soup. Now the power of the human mind and faith is another thing.
