The Upgrade

After a few days of reading and watching reviews, I decided to upgrade for my old 30D to Canon's new 5D Mark II.  I was comparing, just like every other Canon lover on planet Earth weather to get the 7D or the 5DMK2.  I like them both, but the glory of full frame won me over.  I'm also getting a new lens, the Canon 24-70mm 2.8 - whoopie.   Every time around this part of the year I always end up treating myself to a new toy...I'm happy this year its a new camera and Mac. Which reminds me anyone

Learning Thai

I'm Thai trying to learn how to read and write Thai.  My parents were to lazy to teach me, even though I was eager to learn!  Now I'm teaching myself...I dunno if this is safe or not but I am!  I'm using a mixture of Thai movies, books and online translators.  When I get the chance to visit my parents I want to blow them away with my kickarse Thai reading skills.  This would be awesome!  My Thai teacher Mr. Kanit from the 7th grade would be sOOoo proud of me!In other news, I hate my job and I ca

...soOoo, ummm.

Today I tired out my Skype for the second time and discovered that when I do use it I suddenly have nothing to say to my friends.  Don't take me wrong Skype is a great program with loads of features, but it sad to say online voice chatting just ain't for me.  Oh yeah, on almost the same kinda note, I was writing a letter (hand written) today and found out that I write really slow and my hand would do a weird twitching thing evey 7-9 seconds.  I blame this on the invention of computers and the in

I go it alone

I travel alone most of the time, because I have no friends that can join me on my adventures.  I used to dread going places alone, because I thought people would judge me and think I'm a loser/loner.  I've gotten over that fear, now I walk around with a book or my labtop, especially when I go to a restaurant...now I've become the interesting guy that doesn't care about how people think about him dude!  I also have no problems watching movies alone, I don't think watching a movie is a social even

Getting into the groove again.

I been away from TF for a little over a year now, I think it's because I'm not in Iraq, but here at home in the states. I have no time and get easliy distracted with school and friends. So if anyone was wondering what I been doing since I came back, let me give you a little shpeew of what I been doing. I started going to school as a Pharmacy Tech so that I could have it as a quick little fall back and income as I wait for my career to get started. I've applied to the LAPD and I am currently

I still hate the OC Fair...kinda

I wanted to slap the Lama in the face, I dunno why but it was so wierd.  I took a lot of pictures but most of them were of my photo savvy friends that couldn't stop asking me to take there picture, as if they were models...    The most intersting part of the fair was the Visual Arts section, where they had a hugh room with art from local photographers.  If I ever had the chance to take a photography class I would and I would sign up for next year's fair.

I'm with stupid.

I really don't have anything to blog about, I've actually been staring at the computer screen for about 30 mins now and watching this Thai movie about this kid that likes this girl who plays the violin, its pretty good. I'm going to the OC Fair tomarrow (I can never spell 2morrow right) with some friends, hopefully it won't be too packed. I have this thing with the OC...I hate it, the OC is too clean and everyone there is fake and spoiled. Yes I know I might be a little stereo typical, but its

bearded or clean?

I have a choice: should I go with the he's a dork that carries a camera around every where he goes, and spends most of his time wondering about what is the best fabric softener, Downy or Tide? OR should I stay with the hey look at me I do everything possible to cover my face up with a beard/shades/hat combo? (this also come with a mystrious personality when night falls) ...so clean or dirty?

I talk to the ceiling everyday

I've always told everyone that I never get burnt, nor do I peel. I was wrong - my back looks like when a lizard peels its skin off - gross. I just got back from Bangkok a few hours ago and came home with a melocoli feeling, you know, its that feeling you have after you've just watched Charlie Brown. I guess its because I really didn't have time to rest or enjoy Thailand like I did when I lived there back in the day. It's not the same anymore, none of my friends live there anymore, actually

Los Bangkok-Angeles, Thai United Statland

Every time I come back to Bangkok my aunt begs and pleads with me to come and live with her.  She always brings up stuff like I can just become an "Engrish" teacher...obviously she doesn't know about my f'ed up grammar and spelling - write?  Lately I been thinking about it a lot...I love California a lot, but something about Thailand that makes me want to forget about home in the states.  I know I been considering this because I'm thinking about taking the US Embassy job on Wireless Rd.

Marche Moderne

I been getting lazy about talking my camera around when I go out...its just too big to be carried, I need to invest in a small compact camera, I'm thinking Sony or Canon. Food is life.  Ever since I started eating out with Tagorda I've been introduced to so many different types of foods; from cheeses to wines and even to raw edible red meats.  I brought this up because I spent the  entire day eating.  First we started out in Beverly Hills at the BH Cheese Shop and bought about $100 worth of ch

Pinkberry's

This past weekend was pretty busy.  My roomates and I spent Friday and Saturday moving, and doing a lot of Ikea shopping - Sunday was more of an organizing day.  We were pretty surprised that we got it all done within two day's.  All I need is a computer table and a chair, then I'll be set.  The only bad thing about furnishing a room is that I'm cheap, and cheap furniture you have to assemble yourself.  I'm really bad at this because I always end up with extra bolts and loose drawers.Saturday ni

Last weekend I has the chance to go with my church to a retreat up in Big Bear...here are some pictures for our enjoyment!  BTW has anyone seen Wicked, if you haven't you should, is an awesome play and you won't be disappointed.  Now I will go back to my google earth....the cheap man sight seeing.

the berkley.

It’s been the longest time since I’ve posted.  I feel pretty bad because I’ve been doing nothing, but hanging out with my friends and being a bum.   I just came back from Berkley California, for my friend’s graduation at Berkley.   We had a good time we had some awesome Indian food and had the chance to use the public transportation – WooOOWooo!  The graduation was a trip…because my friend Jeff majored in two things: Rhetoric and Film.  I know what Film is, but dose anyone know what Rhetoric i

No camera, no computer...why blog?

I've done so much in the past few weeks that I've forgotten all about the internet and all its glory and power! I dunno if its a good thing for me or a bad thing, but I do miss being online. Some day's I wish I could just vegetate in front of my monitor and educate myself about something totally useless like how refrigerators work or how vinyl records are made.I did a bad move by leading my friend my other computer with photoshop on it. She needed for school so I let her use it, for sake of e

No I haven't been neglecting Thailand Friends, so please if you think I've forgotten about TF I haven't!  Here are some pictures of an Easter play that my church performed last week and I also have a picture of my car, (since I'm a guy) looks like a R32 right?  I'm just posting just to let everyone know that I'm still alive and well.  How was everyone else?

No more uniforms

It’s like I never left home.  I had been busy with life here and reuniting with friends and family.  It was a pretty short process, I got used to the normal life here in Los Angeles, learned to drive like a normal persons and hearing a baby cry never sounded so nice.  Since I been back I’ve gone to a Lakers game (which they lose..boo), bought myself a new ride, bought planed ticket to Thailand for the whole family, cruised  down to San Diego, walked around on a old Navy ship and I had the chance
