Update

If you don't know what happened to me read my journal of yesterday. An angel must have come to me during the night because I slept with very little pain, and when I got up this morning I could actually walk with only a cane and not have to use crutches! I am feeling sooooo much better than yesterday! Either the antibiotic works very fast or my body defenses are working overtime. Or it might have been the beer therapy! lol And I was actually able to take a shower this morning, thank god! This

!@#$%^&*!!! Dammit!!!

Last night when I went to bed everything was 100% normal. Then sometime during the night, I started getting pain my my lower left leg. Not a little, but absolutely intense pain! I finally gave up trying to sleep any longer at 8:30 and tried to stand up, only to find myself wanting to scream in pain! Somehow with the help of leaning on furniture I made it across the room to my computer desk. It didn't take a rocket scientist to know that I was in trouble and had to get to the hospital. So I sent

But is it really durian?

But is it still really durian? Thai agricultural officials have recently succeeded in their experiments to obliterate the distinctive smell from durian, the king of all fruits, in a bid to attract international consumers. Yes, we are talking about the wonderful fruit - the size of a football and covered with spikes - that is notorious for its odour. Thais consider the robust scent the most sensual element of durian, while Westerners are generally appalled. According to the durianpalance.

Vote records

About three weeks ago Dr_Sassy was the first to break the 1,000 votes in one week barrier. Tonight two more can be added. Aphrodite and the first male, safeercom. While I suppose I should congratulate them, I won't because I think the TF voting system is flawed and needs an overhaul. I can remember when just being active and participating in forums and journals got you votes. And fellow members appreciated that by giving you votes. There were no unsolicited testimonials or PM's begging for v

The King and I

Periboea talks about "The King and I" in her journal today and it gave me pause for thought. And so I will share this story with you. When I was a junior in high school (age 16), I was very active in music and was a singer. In the spring it was decided to do the musical "The King and I" by the legendary Rodgers and Hammerstein. I auditioned and was selected for the part of Lun Tha (tenor), who was the escort of Tuptim, a young lady sent as a gift from the king of Burma. Tuptim is not at all at

Little Johnny...

Little Johnny walks into the bathroom just as his mother had finished showering. He points between her legs and says, "Mommy, what's that?" Mommy, not wanting Johnny to become interested in sex at such a young age, says to him, "Johnny, inside of here there is a big set of teeth and if you ever put your pee pee thing into one of these it will cut your pee pee off!" Johnny grows up and despite the odds, no one ever tells him anything different than what his mother had told him as a youngster.

Monday night party pics!

This Monday's party was small and intimate and there are times when that's just fine, especially when you're the only male there!  hehehe This week we gathered at the Huntsman Pub at the Landmark Hotel for food, drink and live entertainment. For the course of the evening it was me, BigKus and Neung (bcool) and during the early stages kungnoi joined us and then later on Mel (Posh) who was a bit camera shy! Well, let the photos speak for themselves! See you next Monday!

Patry Monday night!

Going to try a new venue tomorrow night! Stu_thailand had his birthday lunch at the Landmark's (Sukhumvit) Huntsman Pub and reported back that it would be a good venue for Monday night TF'ers. He said the food was reasonably priced and CLAIMED he didn't have beer with lunch (which is probably bullshit) so he claimed not to know about beer prices. It's also an easy location to change to another place later in the evening for entertainment. My Thai visa expires tomorrow so I'll be going to Immi

Friday night party pics!

So last night's party was to celebrate Stu's (Stu_thailand) and Kitty's birthdays and Ron's  (i_love_som_tam) Thailand homecoming. And a good party it was with lots of TF'ers attending, some of who classify as "unseen Thailand"! lol So here are a few party pics for you! Enjoy!!! A lovely pic of Ralf's ass! MikeAussieGuy couldn't take all the excitement!!! Unretouched photo! What the hell is coming out of MikeAussieGuy's nose???

Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie!

Okay, it's just a cheap trick to try to convince you to come to the party tonight sponsored by JUSTMYSELF (Cream) and me! All the details you need to know are in my party posting and just click on the URL link for a map and all the details! Lots of very famous TF'ers will be there (I am available for autographs)! And it's a very cool venue if you like a place where it's very comfortable and you can carry on a conversation! And drink prices are very reasonable! Last chance to sign up tod

It's tomorrow!!!

Yes, I am shamelessly plugging the party tomorrow night at McAndrew's Pub again. Please note that Cream (justmyself) ended up having a school conflict on Wednesday evening and so she has moved her goodbye party to Monday also and we will merge (ahhhhh, the thought makes me weak!) It's beginning to shape up nicely and it's going to be a fun evening! Have work on Tuesday morning? Never mind! I'll be there at 7:00 and you're welcome to go home at a reasonable hour and nobody will complain! Be

Yawn!!!

I was tired last night and went to bed at 11:15, earlier than usual. Then I woke up at 4:15am and couldn't go back to sleep! Grrrrrrrrrr!!! Well, there is an antidote to that. Have a beer or two and log on to TF, do my voting and reply to a few messages and get sleepy again. Now it's time for me to go back to sleep again...so goodnight for the second time! What would we do if we woke up at 4:15am and there was no TF? Can anyone remember???

Monday night double header!

Update! Cream (justmyself) has a conflict on Wednesday night and has cancelled her Wednesday event and will combine with our Monday night party revival! So be there to toast Cream bon voyage for her trip to the USA! The venue is McAndrew's Pub, and I've posted a map below. Note that it's on a corner, but you have to turn the corner to find the entrance, and the only sign is written on the windows. It's small and laid back, but has padded arm chairs and sofas and is a great place to catch up

More Princess party pics!

Saturday night was the swan song for Princess party! And around 40 people turned out and it was kind of a who's who of TF as many of the best-known members came! I couldn't manage a shot of everyone, so here are just a few from a memorable night. Bon voyage, Princess! Godspeed!!! Pure excitement through the evening! Frogster got drunk on lemonade! Three lovlies! Princess, Kitty (Mrs. AdminTF), and the unsinkable Yellowsubmarine! FB2 claims Elvis once wore this shirt!

More on ageing

Two old men meet for breakfast at the nursing home. Sam says, "You know, Harold, yesterday I went to the shop and got me a new hearing aid. It was damned expensive but it's one of those new digital ones and now I can hear as well as when I was 16 years old! "Really?", Harold says. "What kind is it?" Sam replies, "About 10 o'clock."

Thoughts on ageing

Having passed the age of 60, I've given some thought to the ageing process and have come up with three signs of old age. 1. Loss of memory. 2. 3. Ummmm...I can't remember the other two!
