Can i ask anyboday on here on TF??  If you love someone with all your heart and more than anything then will you belong to him or her 100 % ? Do whatever he or she want you do it.. Can you do that ?  Does it sad that you can not belong to someone for 100% but it doesnt mean you dont love him or even want him ? Will you be happy about what you have to do if he or she ask you to do about it ? Im sad

I think what the song means is that you just have to be yourself.

I belong to me means I'm me, I'm not gonna change or be the person you want me to be. If you love me, you should love me for me not for the person you want me to be, I'm one not half of two.

It's not about not being compromised as well. You have to be yourself first, know exactly what you want first, so can compromise with your love one. If you don't know what you want yet but start compromising already, then you are just compromising yourself to be or do what the other person wants.

khun_lung is right. And I can speak from experience. Right from the very first date, you MUST be yourself. Yes, rejection is hard, BUT, rejection after trying too hard is even harder. If someone cannot accept you for what and who you are, then do not accept them. Life dictates, that the harder you try, the harder you try to change into the person that HE wants you to be, then the more he will take advantage. Just be yourself.
