I have noticed quotes from The Little Prince a lot. See for example butthead's profile on TF. I bought Sandee a lovely copy of it recently because she couldn't find her own Thai translation of it. (I found the English translation in BKK at Asia Books. The original is French and I saw that too, but she doesn't read French.) I brought it along to Cambodia and read it to her at night curled up in bed, doing different voices for the different characters It is one of her favourite books, for some personal reasons I know and I can understand. She has read it very many times.

I wrote a sweet message in the front of the book for her, and included a couple of quotes from the book. (It feels so good to be romantic again ) She mentioned The Little Prince on her recently updated face-pic profile, since it had come up a lot in the last two weeks. One guy who keeps writing her on face-pic/yahoo hoping she'll write back (he's on TF too) used one of the same quotes I had written in the front of the copy I gave to her when he saw her new profile.

And I see quotes from The Little Prince around a lot. It really is a wonderful book. So I have been Little-Prince-ified lately... dreaming of deserts and roses and asteroids inhabited by serious men. I have a rose. There are a hundred thousand roses in the world but for me there is only one, because she is my rose.

It was an outside reading book when I was in school. I learnt alot from this book about life, friendship/relationship, they way we look at things. One of my all time favorite. I have in three versions, Thai, French and English if anyone interested.
