Last night Chocolatelady (It's her birthday today by the way. HAPPY BIRTHDAY POOPSIE MUUWAH!!!) and I went to see POTC. It was good but....well, here's my opinion on it. The movie overall was better than the second one but not as good as the first. The movie was WAY to long for my taste. Too much talk and not enough action. I just had a hard time following the story line which made this movie extremely hard for me to enjoy. The action scenes were great as well were the visuals, and a enjoyable performance by Johnny Depp.

I will say that Johnny Depp has been truly great throughout the franchise.. He has given plenty of laughs throughout. It just wouldn’t be the same with out him so I have to give him credit for that. I'll give a B-Again, the action scenes were awesome..but too much yapping!. Less talk, more action!

The movie blew ass. It was too long and boring. What was the crack with the scene where Johnny Depp is hallucinating in the middle of the desert? So boring. Keira Knightley is a dog with a stupid accent. Has anyone seen 'Domino'?. What a crock of ****. She couldn't have been any less convincing.

Has anyone seen Barely Legal 3? Wicked.

Yeah, I like Johnny Depp, he's such a good actor. I'll go to see it tomorrow!

I like this one better than the second one though. And Johnny Depp... Damn fuckin' right! Hu Hu Hu! *drooling*

I was bored untill I see that mystery nose and the nut... Orlando is as cute as always but not caught my eye that much. That guy who star as Davie Jones was good even we can see his face for a few sec only.. Bill Nighy?? I remember him from Love Actually but for some reason I dont see any other of his work here but think he's quite famous one.

1st one was ok, the 2nd one was crap and I fear the 3rd one is even worst

Just like "Lord of the Rings" I saw the first installment and decided that it was too dark or busy or the characters didn't have enough substance to warrant my focus. The first one had me aching with boredom, so the second and third are summarily dismissed.

What is this with these Hollywood kiddie movies? When will they produce some adult material, and I don't mean XXX porno. All I see is action/slasher/war/gangster/spy/disaster stuff with people saying F.....kkkk and Motherf.....kkkk 3 times in every sentence. Eeeeeckkkk.

Just saw "Disgust' again (on the French TV5 channel) with Brigitte Bardot, Jack Palance and Fritz Lang, directed by J L Godard. Now that was cinematography, not just a "movie".

ummmm not really like it thoh....it's not that funny as i expected in the first place. too many coversations to follow the story and very complicate in the firt part (and u can lost attention easily) but all the prop and action were good. ohhh and yeh, Johnny Depp, he's the one. even this time his character not as funny as the frist one (only for me, or maybe i looked at his face too much LOL), but he at least made me laughe. he's a guy of my dream

Sounds way like the 2nd movie. I've always loved the first one.. probably will after hearing this :-)

Hey Happy Birthday to Chocolatelady!

Funny thing is that I went to Delaneys Irish pub for a nice weekend breakfast today and was reading one of the UK papers when I saw a review of POC III and the reviewer basically said much the same as everyone here - too long - WAY too complicated storyline - lots of stuff going on with no aparent reason for being included in the story, and not enough happening betwen the characters early in the movie to give them real depth and bring them to life. His comments amounted to it being crap I'm afraid...maybe I will see it when it is out on DVD (that means within a week or so here of course!)

Maybe Grezzzy and I can sit and watch it at home one evening - I saw that award winning "Happy Feet" and to be honest, although I know Grezzzy liked it (cute penguins and all that) I fell asleep. Animated cute animal movies are not really terribly riveting for me. My kids all like them of course
