.......and then things went terribly wrong!
I would like to say that things went great today.......however, I had to deal with an issue with this lady I had recently began to see. To be more to the point, I had to let this lady know that things did not seem to be "clicking" between us and I thought it would be better if we simply remained friends and nothing more ( boy was this easier said than done!!! ). I had just finished work and I don't know why, but I should have seen this coming "a mile away". Seems this lady "ambushed" me in the parking lot of my work place ( wich just happens to be a state correctional facility!!! ) and wanted to talk......Immediately. Not wanting to cause a commotion, I asked her to het into my car and drove off hoping to calm things down a bit as she seemed a little "upset". Without going into too much detail, I told her that after much thought, and seeing that I had just come out of a 5 year relationship, I was just not ready to commit to a really serious relationship with her and told her that I did not want to "lead her on on" and waste her time. I told her that although that is what I wanted, I would like to remain friends with her......no luck!!!!! After expressing my thoughts, the look on this lady COMPLETELY changed. It did not take a rocket scientist to figure out that things were about to go bad.....fast!!!!!! Her tone of voice immediately got loud and she started shouting "take me to jail....I want to kill someone!!!!! " (not good by any ones standards). After hearing this I really wanted to get this "person" THE HELL OUT OF MY CAR! Lucky for me, I was in a part of Honolulu that I knew pretty well and took off down the street at an extreem speed.......right to the Honolulu Police sub-station. Needless to say I exited my vehicle very quickly and asked for the assistance of one of the officers. I asked the desk officer (who actually turned out to be a friend of mine......what a coincidence!!!!) If he could remove this now hysterical lady from my front seat......he did. What a commotion this caused, really degrading and embarrasing. This lady was yelling and screaming at the top of her lungs and telling me that if this were Thailand it would not happen like this. Sorry to say that I had to remind her that this was NOT Thailand and at this point she was acting like a @#*#ing idiot. The officer asked her for her I.D. and told me that it was O.K. for me and to just go. The last thing I saw as I drove down the street and looking in my rear view mirror was this small Thai lady running at top speed, srcreeming, crying and showing me that "one finger salute". I've heard before that Thai ladies have "hot" tempers, I certainly hope that this is not the "norm". I guess some people just take things badly.
