Yes Ciaran he must be guilty. When a woman accuses a man of rape, or indeed anyone is accused of any crime we shouldn't give them the benefit of the doubt. It's what we call 'innocent till proven guilty' I've not read anything about this on the news so it can't be a big story.

Why isn't this a big story, her word against his? Why do we all feel the need to jump on the accused as soon as they're up in court?

And even if you have some of your friends/relatives got raped and is/are still having a nightmare from that... you got no right to be such an arse here neither. Some ppl who have someone close to them whom were in such situation will be so sensitive than other but still should learn to control themselves and be cool. Whatever you think, I never find you have got enough sense that is worth to think about but can't you just go to spread your fuking word somewhere else. I talk with people that made me think they are smart and worth to discuss with.

Rose_bud : Possible that David use his million dollars to shut her mouth... and as a woman to be asked/interviewed about their nightmare is not fun.. it's not only about money but a combination of a few factors. If I was raped, I'd never want to have the court/police/jury asking me to tell them what was happening and again to deal with rich and big ppl can be such a pain when you're nobody, so if you got an option that you can get money and be safe so maybe some people think it's not worth to fight for justice. No surprised if this case will be closed quietly.. As long as we're not equal in everything then there will be some who got benefit and some who lost benefit always. Just being a human doesn't mean we're all equal and you know that...

My attitude toward "rape" is neither wrong or right... But I do believe that there are some cases that was about money not real raped.. And those who has been really raped most of the time keep their mouth shut and for those terrible cases I have all my support for them of course.

Well of course rape is a horrible ordeal but why should money come into it? If you can't handle the ordeal of telling the police/court/jury then you shouldn't tell the police in the first place. This is not my advice to any woman that's been raped, but if you're gonna tell the police and then accept money before it reaches court cos you don't think you'll win, then you've kinda sold yourself out in a big way.

If you can pluck up the courage to tell the police then you've done that because you want justice. It's not easy, but i'm sure if you ask a woman whether she wants the rapist convicted or she wants loads of money, she'll want the rapist convicted! As for the court case being kept quiet, quite rightly so. We're all innocent till proven guilty and when a man is falsely accused of rape it sticks with him for the rest of his life!

I come from a country where i see women cry rape with footballers. The only problem i have with this is these women selling their stories before it's even gone to court. They sell their story to the papers, make money, and in the last 10 cases (Woman accuses footballer) the case has been dropped. Not because the woman has dropped it, but because there's been a lack of evidence. (In the case of Christiano Ronaldo there was none)

My point is, just because someone has been accused of rape, don't be so quick to judge. Everyone deserves to be given the benefit of the doubt and everyone is innocent untill proven guilty. Not only are the real rapists scum, but so are the women who lie about it!
