attention to burma
I was wondering what to call this journal since I had the new Sylvester Stallone movie "Rambo" today. It's well done and I'm most of the so called intelligencia will only focus on the violence and graphics nature of the movie. Although quite a bit of the most horrific and graphic scenes are based on actual accounts the burmese military control government against it's own people.
The so called hollywood elite quickly moved on from Burma and would rather spend time with a fascist (hugo chavez) , or w/communist dictator (fidel castro) who both ironically are exactly the embodient of what these actors, directors, etc would be targets of the regimes attacks on media outlets and dissdents. However nothing on burma for how long now 50 years? Nothing on Darfur and the continued genocide.
Instead they choose to attack the few efforts to spread democracy. The groups working to help people displaced and sent running to refugee camps.
I really hope it would be get more attention then it will and to the situation would then it does but it won't.
The movie actually had some grat symbolism and kind of deep perspective on a human been and what a soldier can go through especially one from a war like vietnam or what the left is trying to make all our soldiers go through again. It's really good and I encourage everyone to see it!
