Snobby People

Pfft. They suck

They're the kind of people who think they define you. The more they have the more they think they can look down on you. Seriously, does the size of your home, the labels on your clothing and the manufacturer of your car define you? If so, your a ******* fool and I'd rather throw rocks at you.

Snobs who engage in conversation are unbearably boring, and I was in a situation just to keep the conversation rolling along. Maybe they were perfectly nice people..... Or maybe they were uncomfortable being around me. I don't know. For that matter, perhaps they thought I was some "guy from the slums" or how I put it?. Just some guy "from da hood" LOL

Fortunately, not everyone is like that. Often when I go to Thailand and other places, there were quite a few people who are fun, interesting, engaging and enjoyable, and I do my part to spend a bit of time around them. I was able to kick back, relax, and when I get into social conversations with certain people, it was because I was having fun, never was I was desperate to make conversation.

So a shout out to all you interesting folks who help make social events FUN! You know who you are, because people actually enjoy talking with you. Thanks for making the party worthwhile!.

As to the rest of you brown nosing, ass kissing snobs who want to know what kind person I am or what kind or car I drive?... well, guess where you can shove the transmission.......Heh!

same journal, different year... from cocobro!! I know i 'should' read it properly before i reply but im just here to say that i can feel where ur coming from. in my household we categorize ppl into a few : typical type A, B, C, D and E. I think im type C cus its the only type i enjoy being around (but still rare). PRoblem is the type A, B, D and E probably hate me as much as i hate them. So basically, its a fair trade.

Well, i don't own a car and i dont own my house... I rarely wear name brand.

That doesn't make me slum. But sadly in this country, materialism is big.

I often tell people the latest fashion trend is not to be rich, but to make it SEEM like you are rich to others.

You might have a job that pays 100 baht per day, but if somehow you have a 10,000 baht cellphone, it allows you to be acceptable to the rest of the people.

I agree with you 100% I never look down on people, everyone is equal to me, but when others tend to put others down i will tell them to take a hike.

every journal that i have read from cocoa, seems to be about people giving you a bad vibe in one way or the other........do you think that it's only because of your experiences? i think everyone may have the same thoughts in their own person.........we all get moody sometimes and only think it's them, and not me? didn't you wear green on st paddy's day, and have a great corn beef dinner with potatos, carrots, and corn on the cob, a great salad bar, coffee, and a piece of mint chocolate cake.......for $11.95, a once a year meal on the 17th........****, i had a great time, and even celebrated the holiday with half a glass of beer!!

the only thing i ever agreed with you , was go patriots..........and now we have to wait again till next year.lol

Actually if you LET it get to you, then you are letting them win their childish game.

The whole concept of snobbishness comes straight out of childhood...the same thing as "WE have Tracy in OUR gang, and she is MY friend...so you just stay away...this is OUR gang and only for OUR special people..." remember this happening in the school-ground when you were a kid? Its the us-and-them syndrome...the "have and have-not" mentality.

Oddly enough it's the ones that we might think almost have a kind of right to be snobbish, who are so down to earth. It's always the wanna-be's who are the worst offenders...

Material objects, possessions & money may just make life a bit easier in a way, but they certainly don't confer any special position or elevation on one's character...

The best advice, though, is simply not to let it get to you...I don't care who a person is, they are just a human...(OK...with the exception of our King of course)!
