LOL. You're killing me.

There are at least four aspects to this. One, throughout the developing world, the cosmetics companies have to both adapt their products for acceptance by consumers as well as educate on their use. Here in Bangkok, I know the Bobbi Brown cosmetics classes are sold out way in advance (women and ladyboys). Two, it's a generational thing -- Thailand is a very young country. Three, there are some specific issues concerning Thais and their conceptions of beauty -- if you walk though the aisles of the cosmetics, at Tesco Lotus, Robinson or Paragon, you can't help but notice certain products sell here that are not prevalent or not even found on the shelves in other nations. Four, in point of fact, applying makeup is not exactly like pulling on a pair of Nike's. Just check out all the STUFF one has to do just for concealer, foundation, mascara, and lips in these Bobbi Brown videos:

And, really, we should NOT be so harsh -- you can see some pretty a-m-a-z-i-n-g examples any day of the week, but especially Friday and Saturday nights, jiggling and strutting up and down Dudley Square or alighting the MBTA Silver Line, I'm sure you've noticed, too... and, so that you won't think I'm pointing the finger at your people, also along Main Street here in Santa Monica.... and and and...

the absolute Total Queen of Bad Makeup, ever ever Ever, was the first wife of Mexican President Jose Lopez Portillo, Carmen Romano. Once I was sitting down for a very late lunch at the Bellinghausen in the zona rosa in Mexico City when she marched in with her entourage of pretty gay boys and secret service detail, and surprisingly my friend and I were allowed to finish our meal and not shown the door. So, from just two tables away, I got to sit there and marvel at her multi-colored eye shadow that would have put a male peacock to shame.

I once had a gf that I almost didn't recognize in the morning (without makeup) :-P ...I was horrified...

...another turnoff is the leftover on your jacket or shirt after a slow dance :-P :-P

One of the things that always impresses me about Phong is she only wears lipstick . . . and not much of that either. She always looks so young and beautiful . . . its amazing. Less is more!!

in general, most thai ladies have nice skin, smooth,etc..............and look beautiful enough with the natural look........i don't really care for the high maintenence make-up .........

If chicks spent half as much time with their fitness/exercise for their bodies as they did with their face, hair, clothes and jewelry, they would be ten times as desirable.

(To me)

Hi,

I totally agree. Less is way more.

But you can tell Thai women a hundred times that this whitening cream is crap because it is toxic for body and skin, but they will never listen..
