Snake with fresh ginger...mmmhhh, nice...

I had snakes living in my house when I was working in Africa. Best way to keep them pesky rodents at bay...better than cats and they don't need constant attention...in fact you probably will hardly notice they are around...just be carefull when rummaging in parts of the house that are dark and not regularly used... 8)

I had a large python in my back garden when I was living in Nonthaburi - it was not as long, or quite as fat, but at about 2 metres long it was a worry - when it tried to go under the house I grabbed it by the tail and tried to pull it out - luckily I didn't succeed - and when I realised later all I could say was "What on EARTH was I THINKING?!?!"

These things are not poisonous, but they will give you a very nasty bite with that mouth full of sharp teeth! They are constrictors, so they will then try to wrap around you to squeeze the life out - and one this size could easily kill a human.
