How much THB you spend on Food every month? We eat a lot in restaurants, almost every day, that 400-800 thb each time per person 1-2 times a day plus taxi.Cooking european dishes at home is also lot more expansive than thai food. For some dished its even cheaper to eat in a restaurants.Made simple Pasta the other day:1 piece of fresh Salmon - about 100 thb500 ml Wipcream - about120 thb (can use a couple of times)Mushrooms - about 100 thbgreen onion - 5 thb (Market)

Pasta - 50-80 thb also need butter, various herbs and so onevery time i went shopping at foodland its 1500 - 3000 and its gone in a couple of days. most goes on things like cheese, juice, meat, sweets :P

We spend about 30 - 40 thousand on food for 2 people every month.

So i wanna make some new food plan and buy more shoes instead.

Where you guys buy cooking ingrediance for non thai food? What kind of food do you cook at home?

Anyone knows a good place to buy Bread? I got good one in Bei Otto in Sukhumvit soi 20, Emporium too. Bread in Foodland is horrible.

atleast a foodland you mostly know where the food came from, and how fresh it is.At the resteraunt you don't know where its from to make it so cheap, or who ate it before you got it.

When I lived in Thailand I only ate Thai food... just think it's delicious! Buying European food in Thailand is very pricey indeed... used to make some home made pizza once in a while...

I was in Sriracha this summer and saw that there are more and more European ingredients available.. even some of my favorite cookies! Not only one brand olive oil, but several, also gurkins, kapers, more and more different cheeses...

well... not so important actually... since I prefer eating Thai food anyway

4uandme: not in Amsterdam... think you will be able to get all Thai ingredients for a reasonable price over here

When I was single I spent huge amounts on food per week because I really enjoy eating meat, steak etc.

But now I'm married and my wife sort of changed me over to eating more rice, vegetables and just mixed with little meat, along with Thai spices,my food bill has gone down lots.

We quite often go to a Thai Restaurant down at the Gold Coast, believe this, the chef is Thai and his wife is Philippine, their restaurant cooks the nicest Thai meal I can find in Australia.

Thailand has some excellent restaurants and thats why us guys love it.
