I just see the movie Angels and Demons . The movie is very pretty good and i love it sure. The movie is about FAITH and Sciene and full of enlightening conversation ...

And i like this conversation from this movie and i agree with professor's word..Sometimes i don't understand God too...really hard to understand God. God like to test our FAITH..

Professor: Father, I simply believe that religion-

Father: I did not ask you if you believe what man says about God. I asked you if you believe in God.

Professor: I'm an academic. My mind tells me I will never understand God.

Father: And your heart?

Professor: Tells me I'm not meant to. Faith is a gift that I have yet to receive.

Mat, haven't seen the movie yet but I've read the book (so I know what NOT to expect when I see the movie!) I wonder if you've read Professor Richard Dawkins' book "The God Delusion" Dawkins is a committed atheist and he debunks the idea of any supreme being in a particularly convincing and witty way. Personally, I like to turn a statement from the Bible on its head and suggest that "Man made God in his own image"

BTW, when God made man - She did it for a laugh :-)

Believe it or not? If some one has a belief I believe that is good.

Right or wrong if some one believes and it gives them inner warmth it's good for the soul.

We all have our own beliefs and that's up to the individual.

I don't even like the way the question "Do you believe in God?" is posed. The very question suggests that there is a god - and it's up to us to believe in this god or not. In fact there is no god. At least not in the common sense of the word. (A magical man with a beard - living in the sky - who gets credit for all the good things that happen but none of the blame for the bad things.)

And even though there is no god, as an atheist I generally have no objection to people believing in magical spirits and such - until they start arguing that "My god is the right one and yours is the wrong one - and according to my religion, I have the right to kill people who don't see things my way."
