I came across some balloons and saved them for my next trip to the RHQ.  Figured that I could give them to the Nahida and Jalil and their little brother.  It takes me two trips to remember to bring the balloons along.   When I finally give them to the kids, they just kind of stare at them.  I realize that they have no idea what they have.  So I break open the package.  There are three colors inside--blue, pink and white.  I ask little Nahida which one she wants.  Of course, she points to the pink one.  So I blow it up, tie it off and attach the rubber band to it.  Then I ask Jalil which one he wants.  He points to the white one and starts yelling;  "Poof!  Poof!  Poof!"  Which was hilarious to me.  I started laughing and it was all that I could do to blow the thing up for him.Nahida holds on to hers and just kind of stands there smiling.  Jalil starts bouncing his into the wind.     Jalil bounces his balloon hard and into the wind...and loses it...  He chases it down.... it bounces down the field a ways and POP! it's gonebut, Jalil doesn't cry...he just picks it up and shrugs...  Nahda watches him chase it down and then returns to see what we think of it all.Maybe she's wondering if I have another to give him.Alas, I had one package of three and a little boy who was working in the next field over asked for that one.  So I gave it to him.  As we were walking off, that one popped as well.  Only Nahida kept hers safe from the rocks and the wind.   She just stood there looking sweet and cute with her balloon bopping inthe wind.  That big happy smile on her face.  Shoaib and I returned to the RHQ and went about our business.  Later, I'll have to see if I can't get some more balloons off of ebay or some website.  Get a few of them to give to the kids.
