Hi everyone 2 questions today on the premise of. How thick is your skin? What are you really made of? How strong is your Armor? Can I get into your head a little bit?I appologize if this is a bit too serious for yaquestion #1How thick is your skin? The world is rough sometimes. The world can be cruel. financial,emotions,mental, physical. What does it take for someone or something to penetrate your armor? What is your guard threshold? How short is your wick? How strong are you? How strong can you be? Can you take verbal abuse from a bully? Can you give constructive criticism? or can you take it without giving back retaliations? does your boss get on your nerves? Does some of your clients get on your nerves? These are just examples:  we all have this armor... but I think you get my drift Armor Strength: 1 - 10so on a scale from 1 - 10 be honest give your number: 1 being the weakest guard and 10 being the strongest.question #2In general in your own world - Your world as you see it. Not as tom, mary, or joe sees it. but your life. What incident that really pierced that armor or guard? name an incident if you like in your own words. it can cover any subject category It doesn't really matter. Be honest - all, no holes barred opinions will be honored and respected. im all ears... so if you don't mind lets gets started - and and let em' fly..post disclaimer: all above questions are not directed at or about any TF member or in conjunction with any incident occuring on TF and are general questions for topic of discussion.thanks for stopping and reading. enjoy your day!!

Good journal. This could be a good discussion on the forum. For me, it isn't easy to give myself armor strength score. I tend to think possitve about myself, you see. Is there any test about it?

pandorea - thx I am glad you liked the journal..this is not a test or trick questions just 2 candid, direct and honest soul serching questions that someone could ask about themselves. I just winged the questions I guess I could have come up with a test. but when I take tests I tend to get impatient and not want to finish them. so that is why I tried to keep it simple and ask only 2 questions. so what is your armor number? just curious enjoy your day.

I can answer one question, GoodKarma. Can you take verbal abuse from a bully? NOOOO!!! I don't take it and I don't think anyone should take it either. Does that make my score down to zero?

exactly ell nooo!! kids get this all the time in school. Parents always tell em' sticks n stones right

I guess it depends on the situation and what happens and for how long and how much

There are a lot of proffesional people that are trained to cope with situations that would break other people.

Police are used to violance and abuse

Ambulance driver and medical staff are used to see accidents and injured people

Military have to cope with violance and the fact that other want to put a bullet in them

I belive all people can break and become like a zombie or a monster under the right(read wrong) circumstances

Look at former juguslavia. Neighbours butchering one and another.

I have had this discussion a lot of times and a lot of people say "I would never do a thing like that"

but I´m afraid most of us would if we are pushed,bullyed,hurt and abused enough.

I dont know where the line goes for some its just under the skin and others have to be pushed more but I think its there.

Well I got to say 9/11 that affected me in so many ways

Also a personal thing I once got caught in an avalanche and obviosly I made it but it scared the crap out of me

and I have a healthy respect for the mountain now
