Thailand
It never occured to me even in my wildest dreams to visit thailand. I thought it's just another boring country which people don't speak English. But then I guess, things that we never expected to happen could come into your life like a big surprise. I just had to get ready one day to take my flight to Bangkok Thailand. I had no big plans, no big expectations, not so excited, in fact, I was a little bit worried. What now? What could happen to me in this country? What's waiting for me out there? I don't speak the language so I was expecting it would be a bit hard to adjust. But I know I am a go getter and I was already there, I need to get something good out of it.My first day in Thailand, it was boring! Haha! I was like in my own country. I saw the people and I thought it's very typical asian people. I had not talked to them yet though. Then I decided not to be disappointed, I had to divert my thoughts. I saw a lot of foreigners there. So now I was thinking. What's in thailand that people never saw in other countries if you could notice that it's like a melting point of people around the globe? How come that if Thailand is boring, there are a lot of people from different walks of life, nationalities and colors and races, I saw at almost every corner of the street? There must be something sweet and exciting about the country. Hmm, I wanted to find out what's out there. I wanted to see what Thailand is made of. There were a lot of thoughts that lingered to my mind then. Thailand is not just another asian country. Not poor, not boring. And that I had to find out.Days had gone by so fast. A few days, I could count in my fingers, I saw now what is so captivating about the country. Thailand is a sweetheart. The people, the culture, the food, the city, the country, everything , Thailand has something to offer. Rich! I saw respect in the country at a certain level that I could not compare even to my own country. It was something! I saw how they value their culture inspite of the exploitations perhaps. Thailand is very loving. It's true that most of the people don't speak English but it never stopped them from giving their sweetest smile to everyone. It's like it's very typical. For me, it's the country of smiles, beautiful smiles. I guess what I wanted to stress is, Thailand had been a part of my life and it will always have a special place in my heart. The memories I had in the country, good or bad, I will always treasure, that is for sure........Muah to Thailand! I am missing it there.....
