Exactly. I have some girl who friended me and literally she has posted nothing but FourSquare checkins. Every day I hear about every BTS station she's at, when she gets home, what restaurants she eats at, etc. And people complain about their privacy?!!? WTF?

They could do the same thing with any phone but with less detail. I'm sure the mobile networks have a record of where your phone is connected in terms of which cell tower.

I agree, but it's one thing to volunteer your info...and another if you are being constantly tracked without your knowledge or permission.

actually you kinda give them permission to locate you by turning on the location services of different apps on your phones.

have to admit I never really gave that much thought. Just a little erie to see my travel history laid out on a global map in front of me knowing that someone else has access to this info.

Not really, you give the apps permission. Apple just piggy back on it and make a note of everywhere you go.

They said its written in the terms and conditions, but its over 15000 words. So who is realistically going to read it?

I think Steve Jobs' response to a letter sent by US Senator asking why this info is being kept would be interesting. It must be of commercial use to someone, or else Apple wouldn't be bothered with it I think. The question is who and to what end?
