SCUBA Divng in Koh Tao

I just finished a four day PADI Open Water Diver SCUBA course at Ban's Diving Resort in Koh Tao. My original plan was to accompany Filurina to meet CutieGirl in Koh Tao, then go to Koh Samui, and then to Koh Phangan for the Fullmoon Party. However, upon arrival in Koh Tao, CutieGirl convinced me that this was a great place to learn to SCUBA dive. Since I had served my purpose in being May's bodyguard on the trip down to the islands, I let the girls go on their own way to Koh Samui to hunt for "hot single (farang) guys" while I stayed on Koh Tao to learn about SCUBA diving. Although, I didn't get to go to Koh Samui or Koh Phangan, staying to complete the SCUBA course in Koh Tao has been one of the best decisions I have made on my vacation so far.

Diving in Koh Tao is world class and so are the facilities at Ban's Diving Resort. The visibility in the water is 20-30 m and the water is 31 degrees celcius, so there is no need for a wet suit. I saw all sorts of fish, eels, sting rays, and aquatic vegetation. Besides the diving, the beaches on Koh Tao are also beautiful.

I wish I had more time to spend here so that I can take additional SCUBA courses. However, I will return someday to advance my diving skills. Diving will be another excuse for me to return to Thailand someday.

So, I give two thumbs up to SCUBA diving at Koh Tao. If you can swim, I highly recommend that you give SCUBA diving a try!

yappy don't see what evidence u produce to say i'm wrong. most ppl will say that maldives offers world class diving, very few would say koh tao does. biggest problem there has been over-fishing and probably over diving. i have dived koh tao and sail rock and although i enjoyed the dives, they were not exceptional. also the limited number of dive sites in the area means the water can very quickly become over crowded with divers and this does reduce the enjoyment.

Hahhahha......I'm such a bad influence....I think I got u addicted to diving...just like me.

Now u can't stop. And this time of the year is the best time to dive. Hope to see u back here soon.

Let's go dive sometimes!!
