Has anyone served on a jury before? Is it interesting or incredibly boring?

I was sent a jury summon, which requires me to be in court on November 7, 2005 for jury selection.

Although, I will be busy with work, I hope I do get selected to serve on a jury. I think it would be interesting.

Flinca...yeah I did it once when I was in college and was to dumb to get out of it. LOL!

I sat and waited...and waited...and waited all day for 5 days, then finally got called but did not get selected for the case. But, it was a manslaughter case involving a Mexican domestic abuse case against a white girl, so I imagine a 20 year old white guy was not what the defense was looking for from the jury pool.

Bring some good reading material with you.

sounds like a boring deal to me but would be good once in a lifetime experience. not missing anything to do in this world. =P

Well, some might laugh and scoff at me for saying so, but I must say, watch the movie, "Run Away Jury". In my opinion it is one of the best movies of all time, and I believe it to be a real eye opener about the process, although, admittedly I have never had any real experience to judge by.
