"Whiskey" is not quite the right word for Sato. "Rice wine" would be closer. The home brew stuff is kind of like weak Sake, right?

Two brands of it are on sale locally at Tesco. Food Land sells Sato Siam for 26 THB/bottle.

However, I did enjoy the homebrew stuff I had in Korat - kernels of rice still floating in it, mix it up with some sa-prite.

The only way to drink Issan Hooch is straight from the eathern croak it was brewwed in by poking a bamboo straw through the rice mat plug. Never been so surprized by the effect this had. Goooood Stuff
