I've been taking a lot of nature shots lately as I'm living in such a beautiful setting. A few days ago it was 17 degrees celcius here, which is strange during the dead of winter. I decided to take a walk in my front/back yard, and I came across a bald eagle. These are special birds here. They cannot be hunted, and represent our country. I sent a couple of these images to my family, and my mother replied saying that she had never seen one in her entire life. I really feel blessed as this one flies around about 30 meters from my window. Eagles have incredible vision. They can see what fish are swimming in the sea from 100 meters away...I'm sure he saw me snapping away at him. Anyway, please share your nature shots here. I will.
I stumbled over a great page on Facebook called "Places to see before you die" - also Thailand has some mentions. Here's the link: https://www.facebook.com/placestosee?ref=pb So have a look there and, if you like, participate at the discussion at http://www.thailandfriends.com/group.php?discussionid=141&do=discuss
I read in this mornings English newspaper that two Great White Sharks have been sighted off the coast of Newquay. The article seemed to lean towards climate change as the cause, I however have another theory, The Great White is the ultimate predator so how long did people really think it would be before they worked out that there is more meat on English birds? Discuss.
