actually baan gerda is a worthy cause but maybe the person behind the post is what sets people off, he needs to keep hiding behind fake id's what does that say? it makes people think twice of what the intentions are, even good ones. not a good sign for people to help

Here you go, talking utter nonsense again. How am I hiding behind a fake id? And in fact when have I ever? Everyone knew I had changed my username (for the first time ever on TF). Profile is exactly the same, pics are still in my album.

I actually have a feeling that you may be hiding behind a fake id, but whether you are or not, you are a complete idiot who has yet to actually say anything intelligent.

and although newbies should not be required to sumitt to a quiet trial period

( being relatively one myself :lol: )

it is worth a bit of time to evaluate your prey and allow them the same before going for the deep-end...IMHO

I may be a newbie here Danno, but I have probably spent more time in Thailand than most people on this site dating back 30 years the first time I worked as a volunteer in Nong Khai with the Hmongs, and my wife has been a Thai government official for 32 years. But I can take it, I will not lose any sleep over what Iain says, We do live in a world I can say what I choose newbie or not, no not Vbroker, he stands for everything I despise. But Iain also has the freedom to express his worldly views sitting in his humble room half way from nowhere. and many of the people I talk to from tf here do not come anymore because some of the so called long time members as Iain are driving people away because they are sick of listening to the garbage they preach. it is like a high school clique here and most of the people do not give a craps a*s of Thailand, they are just here to see what they can take from it. I am not here to make friends with 90 percent and I do not really care if they choose to talk to me.

:lol::lol: Yim haven't noticed, we're ALL halfway from nowhere these days :lol:

take a look at people who no longer come here and see how many log in each day, you will see it is the same few day in day out, what used to be 140 on is now 25-35 nad shrinking,and the number of people who used to join each day is almost to zero now. it is not because of the site, it is because of the same clique of people who feel it is here for their personal pleasure and no one else can have a part of it.

You are wrong mate, but only slightly. This is the first time I have changed my username. In that instance my name was changed as a result of the fantasy league wager so I had no choice. (yeah pedantic I know).
