could any kind TFer please suggest a rental car company?

i've been asked to drive a visiting businessman around today and tomorrow. he sees the present unpleasantness as a moneymaking opportunity, and who am i to argue?

i would appreciate if it wasn't near Central World or on RamaIV between Lumpini and the KlongThoey Tesco Lotus. i wouldn't want to be accused of "war tourism", whatever that is.

for 200,000 a day G4S has lovely blue vans that are reinforced steel and easily locked doors plus a driver. although I dont think they have good chairs inside.... you might have to sit on piles of money.

i owe this guy a favor and today and tomorrow he wants to collect.

i am trying to talk him into going by taxi, but he's kindof a one-way SOB and used to doing things his way.

the only way to get him to take a taxi will be to actually call some actual rental car companies and have their terms be unacceptable for some reason. but he's no dummy and will be able to know if i made an honest effort to do what i've been tasked with.

so any legit referrals?

Hertz, Avis, Budget all have offices. And I expect any car company will ask you where you plan to go and will also have a hefty insurance premium. If you expect to tour the hot zones, they will likely deny you rental. Your best bet is to find a taxi driver who you can communicate with and who is game. Its cheaper and has the added benefit of most taxi drivers being red shirts supporters or at least look the type
