eagle
I have spent some great summer months in Taos New Mexico in the US. Dennis Hopper lived in Taos in the 60s at a place called the Mabel Dodge house ,an artist colony. I met people who lived with him there including some family and heard tales of the 60s. In the late 60s the road to Taos was still a dirt road with cowboys with their 6 guns on their hips riding into town. At the beginning of the movie Easy Rider they stop at a commune and end up tripping in a Hot spring. This was all up the road from Taos along the Rio Grande Gorge. The hot spring is still there although we would prefer the ones near to the river. He will be missed !

CaptainSW
LEGEND DENNIS HOPPER DIES AT AGED 74 Sad news, in that movie legend Dennis Hopper has passed away at home Saturday in Venice, California at the age of 74 surrounding by his family after a battle with prostate cancer. Hopper, who's career spanned almost 50 years will perhaps be best known for directing and starring in EASY RIDER also had sucess with movies like HOOSIERS, BLUE VELVET and APOCALYPSE NOW. In the 90's he has a string of brilliant roles - one, a twisted mad man in SPEED and another, one of my personal favourites, Tony Scott's TRUE ROMANCE. Hopper is survived by his four children. Our thoughts are with them ands his friends at this time. R.I.P. Dennis....
