robbie36
..having acute attention deficit disorder a 10 minute read is way beyond me.But for sure ,at the* right time*,Google will be an excellent stock to short. With a market capitalisation of 50 billion USD ..and for what?It has virtually zilcho real assets and is in a highly competitive market. In other words....its in some speculative bubble. This one will go the same direction as London quoted Online poker outfits and badly made Space shuttles. If you read the small print of your broker's research you will see that it says something along the lines that people with attention deficit disorder who cant take 10 minutes to pay attention to anything might as well simply write out a cheque to their broker with a sum amounting to their personal net worth. Humans have an insatiable desire for knowledge. The entity that collates and controls that knowedge willl be the richest, most powerful entity on earth. At one point we thought it was IBM, at another we thought it was Microsoft and now it appears to be Google. What we learn about the internet is that it is a value destroyer but it is not necessarily a value creator. (The encylopedia Britannica was a US$3bn business that has been replaced by nothing.) Anyone with an ounce of sense can see why Microsoft's profit model is doomed to failure. What we dont know is whether 'google' that appears to be 'the man' now, will be 'the man' in the future or whether the freedom that we want and allegedly comes from the internet is shackled by noone and no entity. DJTX
Do we all forget the IT crash several years ago? Is Google just the 'hot' item of the moment - doomed to fall...
