Elephants everywhere

I dont' even go out very much, but every time I have been out in the past week or two in Bangkok, there have been elephants everywhere. Without a doubt, it has been the most elephants that I have ever seen. Aren't they restricted from coming into the city?

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed all of them?

I kinda feel sorry for them because most of them seem to be just baby elephants.

As a matter of fact, there are a hell of a lot of big rats running around the city too, but they are a common sight year round.

I guess nobody else noticed the zillions of elephants. And if you look at my profile, you will see that I don't drink, so the elephants were neither flying nor pink.

While I agree...I'm also guilty as charged...can't deny the photo in my profile of me feeding the elephant...But in my defense, I was coerced into doing it by drunk TFers!

And yes, I'm also guilty of paying to hold the Tarsiers (the little animals they bring around from Bohol in the Philippines). So I guess I'm not helping the situation at all. Somebody yellowcard me for animal abuse, would ya!

I'm afraid we are guilty in some way. Anyone who eats meat supports factory farming of animals and they are probably some of the most abused  and thats before we eat them

OK, I'm guilty for that, too. But I kind of see that as a necessary evil, unless we want to all go and live in Canada, buy a .406 rifle and hunt for our own meat. Or we are all happy to eat tofu 3 meals a day. Nope, gotta have some red meat now and again to appease the carnivore within.

Sorry man but its not nessessary to pack animals in buildings till they can barely move and pump them full of junk so we can spit out a product. Thats can all be done by farmers but corporations are replacing them because there is money to be made. The pork industry is smothering many places in the world with polution. Money as the main motive seems to come out bad

Yeah, I agree that that kind of factory-based farming should be stopped. I know it means a cheaper product, but I'd rather pay more knowing that at least Daisy the cow got to graze in the open a bit before gracing my table with her juicy rump roast.

Yes that was my point. Money rules over our morals, a little respect for all things would go along way
