Hmm, I'd have to say Spirited Away by Miyazaki (distributed by Disney but not a Disney pic), a Japanese animation, is the best animated film I've seen in ages. Nemo was good too, and maybe better on technical merits I don't know, but I'm not judging it as an engineer :P In fact Spirited Away is one of the best films I've seen in a long time period. Great story, extremely imaginative, good characters.

I just saw Kill Bill vol. 1, the latest Tarantino movie, last night. Good movie, though certainly won't appeal to everyone. I imagine it will come to BKK, if only because there's plenty of violence LOL. But the violence, though pretty much constant, is cartoonish so not offensive. And it makes sense in the overall movie. Ah, and all those beautiful katana appeal to me, though I've got to say some of the swordplay is not so well done. However Uma Thurman and Lucy Liu do pause occasionally to do "chiburi", flipping the blood off the sword, which is a nice touch :)

So the finale of 'Lord of the Rings' has finally been premiered in NZ and the US and eventually the rest of the world ^_^.

I've been told it's one of the best endings of a trilogy ever made! As i've seen both 'Fellowship of the Ring' and 'The Two Towers', i'm quite sure the third and last movie will be a great!

How long does Love Actually run for in Bkk? I am there on 26 Dec for 10 days. The choice of movies in small-town-Taiwan (where I am working) is pretty poor & it would be nice to see this film. I recognize a lot of the actors & I believe it is written by Richard Curtis (of BlackAdder fame) so should be pleasant enough to watch.

I've never been so pissed off as when I saw the final Matrix, what a crock. At least George Lucas can be happy he is not the only one to mess up a sequel. Anyways, loved the first one.

See Finding Nemo or The Last Samurai, Watanabe Ken is great in Last Samurai... Ill even buy the dvd

I finally saw the final part of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy... and it really is an awesome movie. Even the cinema was surprisingly still fully-booked after a week of showing. So i had to get in early to avoid queuing.

For those that haven't seen it yet.. it's a bloody long movie, so before it starts make sure you order a large portion of popcorn. Enjoy!
