cocotrees
I just had dinner with girlfriend, celebrating her 28th birthday. We both then realise that we are going to hit our last "2" years next year. So i suggested that we should do something differnt, wild, daring, that we can still remember many years later.I had pondered for a while on it and i can only come out with 2 ideas. So, how do you celebrate yours? (if you did celebrate). I hope to get some ideas from here. 1. This is my original idea, backpack Germany. I backpacked during my last 2 birthdays, so backpacking during my birthday period is not a new thing to me. 2. Sky dive (maybe i will do this in Germany!!!) Please do not suggest the following for the given reasons: 1. Bungy Jumping (i cannot stand the falling velocity) 2. Go for a tattoo (my threshold for pain is 0%) 3. Piercing (same reason as tattoo)

Bluebell
.2. Sky dive (maybe i will do this in Germany!!!) Please do not suggest the following for the given reasons: 1. Bungy Jumping (i cannot stand the falling velocity) bungy jumping too slow for you? Seriously though, #2 gets my vote ..... Besides, you don't feel like you are falling when you skydive = it's more like lying on a very noisy bubble 8)

VanillaVodka
What did I do? Hmmmm....the usual, get up, shower, get dressed, get on the bus, do some work, go to lunch, do more work, sneak into the bathroom for a nap ( ), get on the bus, go home, answer emails, read and then bed. Jesus almighty, how very sad

falangboy
Who cares whether its the last "2" year?!!? Why not just celebrate it like it's any other birthday. Why do you have to attach special significance to a seemingly insignificant event? I say, live every day like it's your birthday.

Sylver
Sky diving has my vote! FalangBoy ::: Fun is what you decide is fun, and a special event is an event which you make special. Turning 29 is just as good an opportunity to enjoy as anything else. NB: Marky, you really have no class.

"It is just as good an opporutunity to enjoy as anything else." I agree with that and I'm not saying she shouldn't enjoy it. All I'm saying is that there is no difference between 29 and 28 or 30. Enjoy it!

laragirl
My last 20-something birthday is only 67 days to go... yes I am counting it down. And my gift to myself is to LOSE WEIGHT. hehehe. Started out last July and lost 22 kilos, and still more to lose =) I normally have big parties every year in Manila, but this time I plan to make it simple --- have a nice dinner with some friends here in Bangkok and a few drinks.
