kaunitz
ach das teutonic humour ist so so vunny! First of all: Humor in German is masculine, so it is "der" and not "das". Second, I am not teutonic, neither is the majority of those you want to hit. We are germanic, those in the east of our area are alemanic. And within the germanic, there are several other groups like - and this is important - bavarian. Genuinely, most of Austria (except for the westernmost part) is bavarian. In addition, especially in the capital of the former quite big empire, lots of other cultures came into and merged. So even if I would be a genuine Viennese, I would be a bit of something else, too. But as I am one of the typical mixtures of Vienna, I have Viennese (i.e. bavarian germanic), Croatian, Sudeten, Hungarian, Ukrainian and Czech roots just in the last two generations. All of these mixed together make a personality you cannot compare to any German, let alone Teuton. This, in an easier way, I tried to explain to you already earlier, but you did not listen (the bagpipe was too loud? - for sure not the tiny one dangling under your kilt ). Ahhh... (incestuous?) islanders from the swamps! Third: It is well known (yes, also in our area) that German humour is a bit strange, to say at least. Austrian humour on the other side is something else. It includes and merges the wisdom of the Jews, the impulsitivity of the Hungarians, the trickiness of the Balkans, the melancholy of the Bukowina, the liveliness of the capital of the Empire and some more ingredients, so something that genuinely "pure" peoples never can and will understand. Thus also the attacks of specific people on my contributions to the "Jokes" and "Funny Vids and Pics" forums. I can live with that. I'm a Viennese, wherever I might be! PS: cum grano salis! Edited January 6, 2012 by kaunitz
