bobbyboy112003
There seems to be some talented ppl here at TF. Many can put words together like a symphony, some can paint and draw. Others really get into music and post lyrics to their favorite songs etc. What inspires you to write a poem? Copy or create song lyrics or words from a book? I have posted some lyrics from some songs in my journal over the course of time. I like the way the words are put together and the way they make me feel. Sometimes I like the words to a song, but not really the music....sort of like a poem I guess. Many ppl here bring words or artsy pictures to their profiles. What inspires you to do that? smartass
As the headline of my journal says "These words I write keep me from total madness" - Charles Bukowski Most of the time when I write a poem, it is when I seek for a way to release the madness, sadness within or whatever frustrates me. Laurence
When I think of talking, it is of course with a woman. For talking at its best being an inspiration, it wants a corresponding divine quality of receptiveness, and where will you find this but in a woman? AlcoholicA
I was inspired to turn to alcohol by some of the bull$hit that big-bird kept talking about..... "A is for Apple" is boring, so alcohol in turn inspired me to do many things.... some good, and some bad: A is for Abbots Ale.... B is for Boddingtons Bitter... C is for Carlsberg.... D is for Draught Bass... E is for ESB Bitter... F is for Flowers Original Bitter... G is for Grolsch Lager.... H is for Heineken.... OK, now that you know some of the Alcoholics Alphabet, my work is done - I'm going for a drink! Tune in next week for I - S of the Alcholics Alphabet.... ajarn
I started writing in earnest (it was mediocre at best back then too) a couple of years ago after having lost my GF and a friend of more than a decade in the split seconds it takes two people to pull op their pants and mumble, "Oh NO!" . I found that the anger and bitter emotions swelling in my head could best be silenced by putting them down on paper (drinking only made them worse and contemplating murder didn't seem as much of an alternative) . Once written down they would no longer take up room in my head and I would be able to move on to lighter matters such as world hunger or global warming. They are no longer part of my life or the things I think about, but the putting words on paper has stayed with me. I guess my inspiration comes from the little things around me (profound statement, I know) ; the laughter of a child - a drunk night on the town with friends - the curves and shapes of female perfection in motion - sunshine through palm leaves - a flee ridden, dirty mongrel dog licking its balls / wagging its tail (usually in that order) - a conversation with friends or a line in a book or song. In short - The ugliness and beauty of life and love or the lack of same. ...but I guess you all knew that!? c.

I believe most ppl get there inspiration from love lost, death, trajety tragety tradgety tradety (misfortune), and the like. I can say this for sure, that the old saying "the more you learn, the more you realize how little you know"...that's me alright I also liked the way you dealt with a bad situation. I think many of us know how to do that, but how many of us actually do?...either way, thank you. Bobby
Lefteye
A lithograph of "Grace kelly" by "Andy Warhol" I have a copy of it done in big size and framed. I keep it beside my Bed. Every monring I wake up... I see her face ... Amazing! A few other painting-s by Matisse ... have inspired me tremendously lately. I kinda have them framed and put them in the bedroom. For somereason they make me feel very "sexy" and "aching" to be with my "Wicked TLC" desperately. << Yawning... Zzz Zzz Zzz>> Bonne Journee. zeusbheld
hmmmmmmm i'm in a corny mood today. my grandma. factory worker, no education, single mom, raised 3 kids (one of whom could have easily ended up in prison for life that would be my dad) they all turned out good. i lived with her for a year. contrary to popular opinion age and wisdom dont necessarily go together (otherwise i'd progress past mental age of 12). but she has wisdom, in her way. she is full of surprises. she probably wont' live much longer. Guest hungrycentipede
My Chocolate Covered Cat Is there anything as funny as a chocolate covered cat? He?s trying hard to lick himself and its making him get fat. If you put him in the freezer, the chocolate will soon set, You?ll have a great new work of art, but you?ll need another pet. - Sometimes I wonder too where the inspiration comes from )
