are you afraid of DEATH??

The fact that so many of the worlds resources are utilised in uselessly fighting against the one enevitability over which we have little control (other than the in the manner in which it happens), just goes to prove just how scared people are of death.

Of course "Once I find myself in a situation where someone is holding a gun in my face", I might indeed think "Is this gonna hurt?", but seeing as the most dangerous things I do are riding in Bangkok and shopping at Big C, I can't imagine this particular over-dramatisation being the means of my end.

it is MUCH safer having a gun in your face than getting in the way of little old ladies trying to get at their favorite cleaning products in big c. near death experience, that.

not really scared anymore of death...it happens

i have had guns pointed at me, been in 2 motorcycle wreks that i came close to dying in. 2 airplane flights that i though we would go down in a blaze of fire on the runway.1 mugging in a parking lot and left for dead.last thing i remeber about that is biting the guy on the leg, wonder if he still has the teeth marks on his calf. plus numerous incidents at work that thankfully did not end badly. one wreck with a semi truck that no one was killed, have no idea why. 9 cars one big semi with no brakes some one should have died.

so why am i still alive??? i think there is something i am supposed to do before its my time to go and until then i will face death standing forward. not like my grandfather alseep, to bad about the other 3 people in the car who went screaming and crying like little girls....555555

I wouldn't like to die right now.. I can imagine myself being in a situation that I would fear death... Still, in general, I don't think I fear death...

Also I believe in life after death, which makes it more complicated.. I am both curious and afraid of that what will come after this life... but just see it quite possitive...

My personal philosophy is that everyone will know or discover after death where to go to. Let me explain..

I believe everything you can imagine (and everything you can't imagine) exists. All things can happen after death. If you believe in heaven and you reckon you deserve that, there might be a heaven. If you truly believe in hell and you think you deserved that: it's all there for you.. If you want to become an animal or ghost: it's out there! Maybe you want to do your life over again? I think it's an option! Other planets: no problem! You can travel through space, time, universa..

Who will decide where you will go to after you die? YOU! You'll be your own judge. Isn't that funny/sad?

Actually I believe death is the ultimate time-teleport-machine... :)

You've just asked the same question? My answer has not changed. Although, allow me to clarify things for ya. You ever been in deep sleep where not even chimera, daydream, delusion, emotion, fancy, fantasy, hallucination, idea, image, imagination, impression, incubus, mental picture, nightmare, rainbow, reverie, romance, specter, speculation, thought, trance, vagary, vision or wraith disturbs sleep, essentially you're dreamless.... this is death. Nothingness.

You want a bright white light before you die.... try the freeway.

you forgot succubus. none of them, either. sadly.

And i am afraid of everyone else around me dying

this can be a problem when ur longlived. my great-grandfather killed himself in his mid-nineties. all his friends, his wife were dead. he was too frail to work like he had all his life. he was mostly deaf, fairly blind, couldn't taste his food (and those seventysomething sexkittens laughed at the horny old guy!)

so he said fuckit! time to check out.

not sure what i'd do in the same situation. "On those who step in the same river, different and different waters flow . . ."
