I have already received one information to my email account that someone in my MSN contact list has used "service" to check "who has blocked him/her". (And seen many times other ppl screen names changed to promote this kind of services) I really want to know who block me! DO NOT USE THIS KIND OF SERVICES, PLEASE! WHY you ask? Isn't it just your own business? Hey, atleast I change my password right after I have checked my contacts...WRONG! What you do is a) you are subject to all kind of hijackings, especially if you DON'T use your password My own guess is that there is also possiblity that this service could very well be faster than you and go and change your password before you can and so your account is forever stolen c) is the biggest reason this is not just your business: you give EVERYONE'S EMAIL ADDRESS IN YOUR MSN ACCOUNT TO THIS SERVICE! This means they can start sending spam to everyone on your msn account list when they choose to do so, they can sell your and your contact addresses to third parties etc. which can start spamming and who knows what. For example this service here, I do urge that you do NOT use this service: http://www.blockcheckeruk.com/ All your warning bells should go off: there is no background information what this "company" is, no really any good contact information either, except gmail account. Atleast they are honest that when you click their Agreement you can see that you give your contacts email addresses for their use! ALSO this service is now sending messages also in localized version! A Finnish IT news page informed today that this or very similar to it, service is sending messages even in FINNISH to ppl. And hey, that is big alarm as Finnish is so small language that there really must be some commercial reason to localize it. And this commercial reason in 99,9% probability is nothing nice. So please, do not check who has blocked you. Besides does it matter if someone block you? If someone block you he/her probably has good reasons for it, whatever they are and so you should just forget it about. Maybe he/she will unblock you, maybe not. Just don't go out giving your and other ppl email addresses to unknown shady services. Cheers ppl. //sunsnow ps. As you can see, I am writing this well, mainly for selfish reasons. I coudn't care less if you use some of these services, risky or not, be they safe or dubious, and get your email address sold to spammers or not. R.Win Posted March 12, 2008 Report Share Posted March 12, 2008 I use aMsn on my mac, because msn itself is a very ppor version on the mac. This mesenger clone shows you who blocked you and which contacts don't have you in their list PLUS it automatically steals every picture of people in your contact list when you're online at the same time... perfec! Those aren't the reasons though, microsoft's msn on mac doesn't support webcam and unfortunately most people still aren't using skype so aMsn is just about all I can do.
