Hey, "maybe the chinese put some kind of spell on these consumers to keep them addicted to their products" ..hmm

The USA already did that with Coke !!!

Please explain........

Hey Phil, you never did explain this BS post you wrote, maybe just ignoring it?

If it weren't for the Caffeine , why on earth would people keep drinking the crap ???

Wasn't ignoring you , but here in Australia we just had a weekend !!!

And what about the little girl who was told she's too ugly to sing on camera and represent China? Will she just get over it too?

Maybe they just told her that she wasn't tall enough ??? ( Many ways to skin a cat ) .

We might not even know for a fact that she's upset .

The reports are all from the Western media . Surely they'd have better sense to not tell her the 'real reason' why she didn't get to sing on camera .

Western journalist holding the microphone to the girl ....."Excuse me little Chinese girl ; Do you know the real reason you didn't sing on camera was because you were considered too ugly ???

Little Chinese girl looking at her mum and in Chinese saying ...."huh , I dont understand ???"

LP. your pulling your wanker here, it is all over the the net, translated versions, western versions, it was originally reported by a leak from the chinese staff...

There are pictures to support the reasons etc, not enough documentation for you??

Oh sorry , didn't know the little girl had access to the internet .

That changes everything then !!!

oh come on. what do you do on those private nights. don't tell me *you* have never googled yourself.

Now I'm not sure but it should, I think they halted a few at least

Im pretty sure that when the olympics first took place greek was made about of many city states governed by kings and they halted the wars. It was a religious holiday I believe.

Until greece was united by alexanda the great's father, Phillip of macedon there were many wars between the city states.

The one famous act of war during ther olympics was the battle of Thermopylae.

Famed by the recent film 300.

too right zuesbheld! Probably the most famous event where small numbers can hold off larger numbers due to tactics and terrain.

adjusted for time, probably the only battle more famous would be Troy (which was more of a campaign, if Homer is to be trusted). although in this part of the world, a case for Red Cliffs could be made. which still peripherally has something to do with the olympics, since Red Cliffs took place in China.
