This is the first Lebanese restaurant in Bangkok and has been around for almost 30 years. Named after the tree that is Lebanon's national symbol, this restaurant resembling the interior of a Bedouin's tent serves up enchanting evenings in a Middle Eastern oasis.

Cedar offers excellent varieties of mezze, hors d'oeuvres-portioned dishes served simultaneously, and a staple of Lebanese cuisine which go especially well with the fresh pita bread. (believe me.... soooo good pita!)

Course started with Vegetable with Garlic Paste ... both fresh cucumber, pickle cucumber, tomato, and Spring Onion

Tabbuleh, a Lebanese salad of parsley and bulgar wheat flavored with garlic, lemon, spices and diced tomatoes that provides a welcome zing after a few bites of the other milder mezze

Hummus (pureed chickpeas) and Baba gannouch (eggplant which is grilled, pureed and mixed with seasonings) are rich and creamy.

Chicken Wings, a simple grilled chicken with garlic and olive oil.

For desserts, don't forget Baklava (TB 85)which is Layers of filo pastry with sweet almonds and cashews, topped with syrup.

and... HALAWA (TB 85), a favorite sweet with sesame and pistachios...also goood!!! it's ice-cream....

Another very charming open air restaurant along Chao Phra Ya River, Khinlom Chomsaphan is on SamSen Rd, soi 3, which is not far away from Khao Sarn Rd. They are quite famous for seafood and thai food plus the best view of Rama VIII bridge, they claim of course. I've been there a few times and it's one of my most favourite restaurants in Bangkok :)...

There are a few branches, I have been only one branch in Soi Ruam Rudi. The atmosphere is nice, outdoor is quite cozy and indoor is quite elegant. The food menu is quite variety, my bf doesnt think so but we have agreed on the same thing. The cakes/cheesecakes there are excellent.. So far I can say that they have the best cheesecakes in town.. and when it comes to cheesecake, you can count on me!!

Warning, the price there is quite high, Food: 200 - 500 THB/Dish & Cakes: 90 - 130 THB/Piece. But if you're into quality, you wont be sorry to go there :)...
