Things are really changing for me now. I have finally left my bar managers position and have been asked to manage my friends brazilian jazz band.Things seem to be really positive and I have moved in to a new flat so life is really peacefull for me after a year and a half of chaos. We have a gig tonight in central London.

Today I got the keys to my new flat.I have been living above work for over a year now till this place came along so I am really happy to have somewhere nice to move to especialy as I have given my notice in at work and have been unhappy there for a while. In my last journal I mentioned a recurring nightmare about growing a big black tumour on my back. 2 days ago I quit my job and have given a month's notice till I leave. My friend Jimmy turned up at mine a few hours ago asking if I wanted to go to a gig at Brixton academy. He knew the guys playing and we had guest list so the gig was cheap just a £5 donation to charity instead of the £20 ticket charge. The band was babyshambles,my friend Jimmy knows them well and has DJ'd for them a few times. Its now 16 days since I had a drink, my mood is better I am feeling more creative and also feeling a little more complacent with my life. My stress levels are lower and I think it really is doing me some good. Over half way to having a month without alcohol which is my goal, its really hard whilst living in a bar to do this but if I do a month I will feel really pleased with my self.

Feeling a bit rough today I have a fever the weather is bad and I feel ****.Although at the same time I feel good as I managed to DJ all night last night just drinking tea and water with no alcohol, so that's 8 days without a drink so far, maybe this cold is my body getting used to being sober as its the longest time in years that I have not had at least a few drinks. Ok time to go back to work in the bar gonna get some ginger and lemon and force this cold out.

Went to a bike shop yesterday and had a look at what they had second hand (cant afford a good new one at the moment).
