Seems the music world has lost another great musician. Jeff Healey lost his battle with cancer and died on Sunday evening in Toronto hospital, he was 41 years old. For those not familiar with Jeff Healey, he was an excellent guitar player....what made him quite different is that he was blind and had a unique style of playing. Well it appears that I'm stuck here at work for another 8 hours of overtime. I guess I can't complain too much because I'm making some money, it's really slow here at the jail and I really didn't have a lot to do this afternoon ( except laundry ) . I was however looking forward to watching the 2 DVDs my friend gave me " 30 Days of Night" and " Eastern Promises", oh well, I'll just watch them tomorrow ( and do my laundry....lol ).
What a totally unselfish act. A total stranger donates a kidney to an 8 year old Atlanta girl. Well my ex is all moved out of my place and I decided to make a few extra bucks by renting out one of the rooms in my place and a friend of mine showed some interest and made an offer that if I reduce the rent for a few months he would change out the counter tops in my kitchen and replace them with some new Brazilian granite tops. The only thing I could say because he offered to do it for only $500.00 was "hell yeah...go for it". I guess it does pay to have friends in the construction business
Just scrolling the various video clips on you tube and pulled this up, Freddie Mercury from "Queen". What a great song this was, it's too bad that when filmed, you can already see that that horrible disease "AIDS" was already taking it's toll on this guy.........
