Well I finally sat down and talked with my ex-gf "Paeng". I wish I could say that it went as I had hoped for, but it didn't. Well I finally had my interview for the position of lieutenant today and I think I did pretty well. Funny thing was that "none" of the material I had studied for was on this interview (policies ect.). Most of the interview simply pertained to mangement and dealing with staff. Hopefully I'll be able to secure one of the positions....it's time to move up (oh, and the money is certainly better!!!!). I guess we'll see.Aloha
Well I was kicking back with a good friend yesterday having a beer and he let me know that "My Chemical Romance" was going to be in Honolulu on December 14. Wow, does time ever go so fast. This saturday is my daughters 14th birthday. Seems like just yesterday I brought her home from the hospital....daddy's little girl is growing up.
Well we had a small celebration last night to ring in my birthday, so I figured I'd get a little rest today to get over the headache....er I mean hangover I had today...lol. Well it finally happened. Went to the beach today and when I got home, the little Meyers parrot that I had for the last 15 years was gone. lying at the bottom of his cage. I know this sounds pretty weird writting about something like this, but I had this guy for a long time....as a matter of fact he was around and lasted longer than my last marriage (plus a couple of girlfriends after!!! ).Going to miss you "Joe".....

Here is another of my favorite guitarist....."Neal Schon". The guy doesn't look that old, but he's been around for a while and was even performing with Carlos Santana back in 1968. It's interesting to see how people progress through the years ( I guess some would simply call it "getting old"...lol) , but I like the material that this artist has put out in recent years. Was talking with some friends that just came back from Iraq and bid farewell to a very good friend headed off for Afghanistan and you can't help to think about the hardships that the families and the soldiers have to endure (and this is not only for the U.S. troops, but for all the supporting countries). I don't want this to be a journal to defend U.S. policies, it's not about that, it's about the individual soldiers and thier families. I hope this war ends quickly and for all to come home. So f
Well it's my friday and I'm glad. Not a particularly hard week, but none the less it's now over, looking forward to a couple of days rest and relaxation. Well I'm watching CNN and in one of those little side stories, is one of this man in the U.S. that made a bet with his girlfriend. Seems this guy wrote out a check to his girlfriend for $100,000 and told her that if he ever reverted back to his "old ways" (bars, women,scandle.....ect) she could take the check and cash it.
