just music: live shinedown - simple man (skynard)

I actually like skynard's version more, though there is one version of that song that could make it epic and that would have been if Guns & Roses could have made history if they had covered it, unfortunately they didnt. This video though gives a pretty good insight in Brent Smith superb vocal, he is a kickass singer. A cleaner version, still superb vocals:  And finally, the hillbilly version from Skynard - if you are still reading so far, then try to imagine a GnR version of this song, st

Crop circles mystery - solved !

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/8118257.stm Australian wallabies are eating opium poppies and creating crop circles as they hop around "as high as a kite", a government official has said.Lara Giddings, the attorney general for the island state of Tasmania, said the kangaroo-like marsupials were getting into poppy fields grown for medicine. She was reporting to a parliamentary hearing on security for poppy crops. Australia supplies about 50% of the world's legally-grown opium used to make

TankMan - documentary about the 'tank man' from the Tiananmen Square protes

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2300254722104314948&hl=en Very good documentary: "On June 5, 1989, one day after the Chinese army's deadly crushing of the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests in Beijing, a single, unarmed young man stood his ground before a column of tanks on the Avenue of Eternal Peace. Captured on film and video by Western journalists, this extraordinary confrontation became an icon of the struggle for freedom around the world. Seventeen years later, veteran filmm

Travelling in Nothern Thailand - cant speak thai ?

I want to go north on my next trip to Thailand (July) for about 4 weeks. Been reading abit about different places, but several places its noted that its not exactly english that are widespread if you go abit off the beat from tourist-areas. Im travelling alone and i cant speak any thai (got Pimsleur on my iPod but doubt i can do anything in 4 weeks) - so now im wondering if its a stupid thing to do ? imagine abit lonely vacation if you cannot communicate with people around you What are your

Sleeping alone

I was impressed ! Lookthrough wall from bed to shower and visa versa - had a few ideas what that could be used for ! Little did i know at that time, that this picture actually would remind the most of my trip to Phuket - as i got hit by Diarrrhea halfways into day 2. I spent quite some time here looking at that bed. Knowing how it worked from the other end of the window, killed any kinky fantasies that might have been there when i took the pictures: Happy days.

In doubt...weather situation in July ?

I will never do 1 week in thailand again, the agony of coming back is way to much for just one week away. I settled on going back 3-4 weeks in July - but now im starting thinking if its stupid ? i mean the weather last week wasnt exactly what i would categorize as "nice". It was rainy (that was actually the nice part when it did) - but it was also for my scandinavian body - pretty hot and humid - but maybe you get used to that in 4 weeks ? If anybody reads this - will the weather get worse (b
