WORK VS PRISON

Just in case you ever got the two mixed up, this should make things a bit more clear

IN PRISON... you spend the majority of your time in an 8 x 10 cell.

AT WORK... you spend the majority of your time in a 6 x 8 cubicle.

IN PRISON... you get three meals a day.

AT WORK... you only get a break for one meal and you have to pay for it.

IN PRISON... you get time off for good behaviour.

AT WORK... you get more work for good behaviour.

IN PRISON... the guard locks and unlocks all the doors for you.

AT WORK... you must carry around a security card and open all the doors for yourself.

IN PRISON... you can watch TV and play games.

AT WORK... you get fired for watching TV and playing games.

IN PRISON... you get your own toilet.

AT WORK... you have to share with some idiot who pees on the seat.

IN PRISON... they allow your family and friends to visit.

AT WORK... you can't even speak to your family.

IN PRISON... the taxpayers pay all expenses with no work required.

AT WORK... you get to pay all the expenses to go to work and then they deduct taxes from your salary to pay for prisoners.

IN PRISON... you spend most of your life inside bars wanting to get out.

AT WORK... you spend most of your time wanting to get out and go inside bars.

IN PRISON... you must deal with sadistic wardens.

AT WORK... they are called managers. So why is it again that we work?

Obviously being in a prison is kinda awesome...haha

You know, when I came to Thailand to study Thai I debated about paying a school or just committing a small crime and getting locked up for a few months and leaning free.

Apple:

My dear I get the jest of your journal, however, obviously you have never been in jail, much in prison, at least not in Thailand.

First, I spent 18 days in Thai Prison in Pattaya.

1). I spent my time in a 12X15 cell that had 42 people in it. and we slep on the floor like cord wood.

2).I got 2 meals a day and I still today can not eat Rice Soup.

3).Good behaviour??.When you take a shower, the guard blows a wistle once so you can use 1 scoop of water and then again to rinse. that is a shower.

4).Yes they lock the door, and then you can not go anywhere until they unlock them

5).I never saw a T.V.

6).Yea, I got one toilet shared with 42 guys in prison. (maybe you saw a falang movie about private bathroom)

7).I never had a visit.

8).This was a pluss, I did not have to work, but I was retired.

8).you got me on # 8, yes I wanted to go to the bars.

9).sadistic is not the word, if you would like to know realy, PM me.

If I had the choise at that time I would have worked 20 hours a day to not go to a Thai prison. Ching, Ching...
