The past few weeks I have noticed more and more people with pictures of them and the full grown tigers at the Tiger Temple near River Kwai. Just curious if there is any where else to book this trip other than this website? http://www.tigertemplethailand.com/. The prices on this website seemed a little high to me. 100.00 U.S dollars per person. I noticed that the price decreases if you get more people in a group. Any how if anyone knows how to save some money and go here I would love to hear it. It would be cool to get my picture taken with one of those full grown tigers. Hope everyone has a great day!

You dont need to book a trip.............

you have lots of options and can just turn up so go there on a train, on a bus, hire a taxi for a day...........whatever suits you and your budget best :-)

There are also travel agents etc all over BKK who can arrange this day trip for you, I havent got a clue how much they charge though.

Cool thanks so much for the information. I figured that $100.00 per person was kind of high. I think its kind of ashame especially coming from a temple where monks are. I guess even Monks try to tip off Farang. (haha)

Don't go its REALLY shite, REALLY REALLY shite! its a shame to see them using a bunch of doped up tigers to make a fast buck! A lot of greed going on there these days!

A waste of time and effort!

''I think its kind of ashame especially coming from a temple where monks are.'' its managed by a bunch of Aussies now!

Go spend a cple of days there. The area has more to offer other than the tiger temple such as Erawan falls, hellfire pass and the various memorials and museums. Kanchanaburi is a good place to kick back for a few days. I can recommend BT travel.

i wouldn't waste my time, effort and money for that place EVER again. Was just there last week - it was a dissappointment. All u get is getting taken by the hand by a staff, walking from one tiger to another as they take photos for you. You get a limited time (short moment) to be with the tigers since there's long queue of others waiting to get in too. Some Aussie bloke managing it which ruined it a bit more. The tigers weren't responsive, it was a real sad sight.

You can always make ANY bookings to most locations with the guesthouse you stay in tho. And they are all remarkably cheap. Normally the prices are the same with all agents (as i've seen in most of their brochures. Just get there and get whatever u need there. it's a low season anyway, there's no way u won't get a seat.
