I can't wait to get back to Thailand. Only about 3 more months and I will be back in the sun. It sucks that I can only go for 15 days but its either that or I won't have a job when I get back. Some times I will see people there for months at a time and wish I could do the same. Any how not much to say other then that. Hope to see some of my friends when I am there. I also want to get a ticket for Samui. Airasia has a good price if you book early. However Thai airways goes right to Samui now. But
Just curious if anyone could give me some information about going to see the Taj Mahl from Bangkok. I will be in Thailand next March and I would love to go to India for a couple of days to see the Taj Mahl. After doing some research I found out that the visa will cost me about 75.00 US dollars and that I need to mail the form to the NY location. This is because its the closest branch to me. The Taj Mahl is located in the city of Argra however I am having a hard time locating flights that go th
Now with gas prices falling considerably it would be nice to see the Airlines lower their prices as well. I think eventually this will happen. I remember about 5 years ago I was paying $750.00 round trip from NY to Bangkok. I want to book a trip for next year but I am going to hold out until I see the prices come down. Someone told me that the Airlines buy their gas in contracts. So as soon as their high price gas contracts end then I think we will see airline tickets come down. Thats great news
I was just curious if there are other people from the United States that are trying to plan trips to Thailand right now and are reconsidering? I am trying to book a trip in February but I was thinking about maybe flying into Cambodia instead. Not sure what the closest airport would be in Cambodia that is close to Bangkok. However I think this might be a better alternative then trying to fly into Bangkok. With all the problems going on there now I would rather take a bus or train from Cambodia to
I just got back home from spending some time in Thailand and I must say I was really surprised how things have changed in Phuket. I was there a couple of years ago before the big storm and really liked it there. It was a perfect place to go to and relax at the beach without a ton of tourists there. You could walk along the beach and only see a few people there in Patong. There were also no bars along the beach. So I figured this time when I went to Bangkok I would book another trip to Phuket. So
I was just curious if there were going to be any Thailand friends party's coming up in the near future? I am in Bangkok now and was thinking that it would be nice to meet some of the people that I talk to online from this website. However I will only be in Thailand for another two weeks.
Just curious if anyone knows some good ways to get to Samet from Bangkok. Can you get the bus there from Ekamai? I am trying to check out some ways to get there. I know its about 200 kilometers from Bangkok. If I have to take the bus there I will but it is about a 3 hour ride. I tried looking to see if any flights go there but couldn't find any. All I found was Krabi. I have always wanted to see either Samet or Samui. I think this year I will check out Samet. I already have a ticket for phuket t
Just curious if anyone knows of any good hotels in Phuket that were right on Patong Beach? I was in Phuket a few years ago and stayed at this hotel not far from Patong Beach. It was about a 10 minute walk to the beach. The only thing was it was a drag walking there all the time. So I will be in Phuket again on August 17 and I was thinking about booking a hotel before I come. However I have found that most of the hotels that are right on beach are not that cheap. If anyone knows of any that are
The past few weeks I have noticed more and more people with pictures of them and the full grown tigers at the Tiger Temple near River Kwai. Just curious if there is any where else to book this trip other than this website? http://www.tigertemplethailand.com/. The prices on this website seemed a little high to me. 100.00 U.S dollars per person. I noticed that the price decreases if you get more people in a group. Any how if anyone knows how to save some money and go here I would love to hear it.
Just curious about how the Thailand health care works and how much does it cost if you need to go to a hospital? I remember about a year ago when I was in Thailand I went to Koh Chang with this woman. While I was there she became ill and had to go to the hospital. So her girlfriend, girlfriend's boyfriend and I drove her to this hospital in Koh Chang. Some time later her girlfriend told me that she wanted to see me in the hospital. I went inside and soon after that it was time for her to be rel
Just curious if anyone knows the best and cheapest way to get to Samui from Bangkok? I checked Airasia but didn't see any airport listed for Samui. Always wanted to go there so I am trying to book now before I get there in August.
Its weird but I see a lot of people with thousands of votes and I have to ask myself how did they get that many? It took me forever just to get to 400. One lady I saw her profile and already after just one day she has almost 100. Some times I think and say why do I even care that much about something so trivial? I guess all of us want to know that we are liked in some way.
I have to admit every time I go out to eat that I love to order spring rolls. There is a thai restaurant in my home town called Esans. Every time I go there I order the shrimp fresh spring rolls. Today when I was watching tv there was a chef that showed how to make them. It was a lot easier than I thought and I was thinking about maybe making a big batch this weekend. The chef on tv used the spring roll wraps, spinach, carrrot strips and samon. However I wanted to use shrimp instead of samo
What is wrong with the world today? I was just watching the news and it said that today some body killed over 33 students at Virgina Tech College and another 29 people are injured. My heart goes out to all the familys. I can't believe someone would go on a shooting rampage like this. College is the last place you would expect for something like this to happen. The news said it was the worst shooting masacare in US history!
Just wanted to wish every one that celebrates Easter a happy Easter today. I remember when I was little my mother used to hide a easter basket for me with tons of chocolate in it. Some times I would wake up early and go down stairs and see a trail of little chocolate eggs leading to my easter basket. Good memories for sure, but now that I am older it really doesn't have the same meaning for me. Maybe its because I am not a kid anymore. Hopefully some day I can bring that enjoyment back with
Just curious what people think about when looking for that signifigant other. If you were looking for a woman for a long term relationship what trait would you prefer more. Here are your choices: A woman with a great personality, that would love you no matter what, that was attractive but not that great in bed or a woman that is unbelievable under the covers but maybe not the answer for long term.
Once in awhile I will look at the advertisements on this site and click on the link to see if they are good deals or not. One of the advertisements that was listed was a guarantee K visa and an agency that would do all the paperwork for you. After seeing how much they wanted to charge for this service I had to laugh! It was some where in the nature of $1500 US dollars. That is ridiculous and I can't believe people even have the balls to charge that much for a visa that only costs $170.00 doll
Just curious what the ediqite is for tipping in Thailand. Sorry about my spelling but I am always confused about how much or if any that I should leave for a tip when I eat out in Thailand. In the USA is easy to know how much, you can either double the tax or leave about 15 percent of the total bill for a tip. Some thai women that I have gone out with say no tip is necessary but then others say leave small amount. Is this just a farang custom or do Thai's actually leave tips as well?
Well today is Sunday and in a few more hours it will be time to watch the big game. Over the past few years the superbowl has really become popular in the USA. Yesterday when I was at work there were so many people in the store buying food for the big game. Years ago I used to have big partys at my place for the game. We would cook steak and lobster and it was a great time. Now most of my friends have moved out of town so I no longer throw any partys at my place. Its almost busier than some
Well its been a long time since I last posted anything in my journal. The last time I was in Thailand was in the summer of 2006. I had a great time and met some nice people. One woman in particular I enjoyed spending time with. We went to the movies, dinner and enjoyed each others company. After I returned home I began to chat with her online on msn. She told me that she missed me and wanted to see me again. When I heard this I was happy because I thought she was just interested in being fr
I was just wondering if anyone has a url address or location on where to go in Bangkok to ship something by boat. I have about 11 kilo that I want to ship from Bangkok to the United States. I am not interested in shipping by Fedex or UPS so please do not tell me how much it cost to ship Fedex.
I heard shipping by boat is much cheaper but I can't find any information on it online.
Well today is my day off work and I have been enjoying my computer again. Until I get to Bangkok in July the computer is the only way I have communicating to people. Its funny because I will meet new people that say they are looking for a relationship. However when I see them online they never say hello or message me after we have talked before. Also days will go by and I will not get any messages from them but yet they say to me that they are serious about having a relationship with me.
