I can't wait to get back to Thailand. Only about 3 more months and I will be back in the sun. It sucks that I can only go for 15 days but its either that or I won't have a job when I get back. Now with gas prices falling considerably it would be nice to see the Airlines lower their prices as well. I think eventually this will happen. I remember about 5 years ago I was paying $750.00 round trip from NY to Bangkok. I want to book a trip for next year but I am going to hold out until I see the prices come down. Someone told me that the Airlines buy their gas in contracts. So as soon as their high price gas contracts end then I think we will see airline tickets come down. Thats great news

I just got back home from spending some time in Thailand and I must say I was really surprised how things have changed in Phuket. I was there a couple of years ago before the big storm and really liked it there. It was a perfect place to go to and relax at the beach without a ton of tourists there. You could walk along the beach and only see a few people there in Patong. There were also no bars along the beach. So I figured this time when I went to Bangkok I would book another trip to Phuket. It was about a 10 minute walk to the beach. The only thing was it was a drag walking there all the time. What is wrong with the world today? I was just watching the news and it said that today some body killed over 33 students at Virgina Tech College and another 29 people are injured. My heart goes out to all the familys. I can't believe someone would go on a shooting rampage like this. College is the last place you would expect for something like this to happen. The news said it was the worst shooting masacare in US history!
Just wanted to wish every one that celebrates Easter a happy Easter today. I remember when I was little my mother used to hide a easter basket for me with tons of chocolate in it. Some times I would wake up early and go down stairs and see a trail of little chocolate eggs leading to my easter basket. Once in awhile I will look at the advertisements on this site and click on the link to see if they are good deals or not. One of the advertisements that was listed was a guarantee K visa and an agency that would do all the paperwork for you. After seeing how much they wanted to charge for this service I had to laugh! Just curious what the ediqite is for tipping in Thailand. Sorry about my spelling but I am always confused about how much or if any that I should leave for a tip when I eat out in Thailand. In the USA is easy to know how much, you can either double the tax or leave about 15 percent of the total bill for a tip. Some thai women that I have gone out with say no tip is necessary but then others say leave small amount. Is this just a farang custom or do Thai's actually leave tips as well?

Well today is my day off work and I have been enjoying my computer again. Until I get to Bangkok in July the computer is the only way I have communicating to people.
