I mean really, can anyone tell me why there are so many emotional basket cases on TF?

I know this is a happy touchy feely place where everyone is free to express themselves, but come on, is there no limit to how many actually tiny but completely blown out of proportion problems some people have?

Possibly cause the publishers have turned down most of the stories for publication due to them being unauthentic.....so they stick it on here with an ever increasing captive audience...there should be a TF whinge tax....I'm sure Admin could do with some maitenance money......

Why come down on people for writing what they want in their journals, basket cases or not? As I see it the creator of TF gave members a personal space to write what they want, trivial or monumental. It too is a perception into their lives and personalities.

Sure, TF journals may be a soap opera, but people (including you and me) have the right (within limits) to express themselves.

As to your question, why are there so many basket cases, I suspect it's because TF is a community, and members appreciate advice and comments from respected members. Where else in cyberspace could you go to get that kind of feedback from peers?

In a word, yes.

But I don't think TF attracts basket cases as you seem to imply. TF attracts people like you and me and "them" and if people come here and feel comfortable enough to cry about their trivia, then that's one of the things that makes TF unique and attractive in my opinion.

My previous post was not "politically correct" at all. It was my opinion, and if you read between the lines, what people write in their journals is just as much an affirmation that they are an airhead as an intelligent human being.
