I forget the monthly payment, but I do remember the joining fee being one big rip off here. I went in and spoke with one of their 'agents', and it started at 15,000 baht. I said it was too expensive, and they said, "Ok, you can pay 3,000 baht". I told them to shove it where the sun doesn't shine, of course. 15k - 3k in 1 minute?

Yeah Stu,

They pulled the same **** on me at first! I also laughed at them at the start.

I talked them down to the point where they were mad at me, even then it was 90,000 Korean Won (100 USD) a month. My friends that go there said I got a great deal at that price.

Korea is just as expensive as Japan now I think in most things!

Right now it's Bht. 35,000.- life time and only Bht 100.- renewal each year. You can also transfer one year to others which costs Bht. 10,000.- so apparently you pay Bht. 25,000.- for life time.

Most of the gyms are a ripoff here but California Wow seems to be in a class of its own. They refuse to show u a rate card and the price is essentially how much they can get from u. Most of their "trainers" have no training experience at all.....their training limited to a course on how to "sell" extra services.

Is that the one on Sukhumvit? If so, it's a rip off. It's B800 for one day! And it's not particularly good either. Seems to be for posers - people can see inside from the street.

i pay 850baht/month for the platinum card.

But the problem with this sort of club, that they change their offer, package almost every week ,so what is good one day, will not be good tomorrow.

Korea is not even close to the price of Japan.

i lived there for 6 year so have a rough idea about it, but I see you are talking about something particular, and you are absolutely right.

koreans charge outrageous prices for certain things

example:

a korean man will think nothing of going out to a 'dalanjusim" , (not a "norabang"), and be happy to spend 2000 US dollars to sit drink whiskey and sing songs with a few girls.

just insane prices!!!!!!

I guess it might be the same in respect to what you are speaking of !!!

Ok ok ok! Hold everything!

This just in, a new developement that you all won't believe!

California Wow in Seoul has just called me and told me they will not honor a signed contract with me and my friend (We signed up at the same time yesterday). Thats ******* right.... They just said on the phone they will return our money but they won't honor our contracted deal. Aparently we were given too good a deal at 100 USD per month. I can't believe this, but in Korea it seems they think a writen contract means nothing.

These ******* liars.....

Should we get a Lawyer or just go in thier and start kicking some ass?
