I think my pass life was a muslim, I have many muslim friends, I like their culture. Especially, I like their food. One of menu I like and it's good for me now... is salad.This morning I bought salad from a muslim vendor at market. So delicious.... there are some veggie, tofu, egg, cassava chips and peanut sauce (I don't know) but the taste was so good... it's better than salad cream. Only 20 baht.... anyone wanna try?

GADOGADO?? I have no idea... never been to indonesia. It's muslim food, so I guess it might come from there... possibly.

muslim salad is a funny name. next time you walk by there ask the vendor what they call it - in Thai or not, it might be helpful. It doesnt look like anything remotely from the middle east - hummus, babaganuj, or my fav - tabouleh.

your salad looks like Gado gado which is Indonesian, and as such has a lot of background, although nothing remotely islamic about the food except that it would possibly be hallal. I dont think tofu is a standard ingrediant in Gado gado, either. peanut sauce, similar to the sauce you would know from sate used. it is similar but not the same.
