I just passed the very sad moment when i can do nothing beside looking, sitting and crying...an hour ago, while i was watching TV... i heard a sound from the garden.... that seems to be from a frightened cat...I run to that place immediately and i found my maid caught my dog.... and he (the dog) was biting on the cat's neck.I hold his mouth, so she (the cat) would be free... and then my maid took him to another place. She is just 6-month-old cat... i guess...I can foresee that her back is broken and parhaps neck as well. She can move only her front legs. I was waiting a bit till she calmed down and be ready to go to the vet... meanwhile i prepared myself to take her there. My maid took care her that time.I do know she suffered.... sooner or later she would be dead for sure... but i cant let her.... i had to do something.... taking her to the vet is the only what i can do for her.... at least she might go peacefully by an injection. While i starting my car, she got an convulsion and asphyxiation.... (near to death).... i can feel she would "go" now... She hardly breathed.... slowly and softly.... her muscles, legs and tail were relax.... her pupils were changed (at first her pupils were wider because of fear... after that her pupils were smaller... quite back to normal... but now her eyes are still).... ammmm..time to go.......... sorry, girl.... i cant help you the best i can.... ..... sorry... for judging the situation myself...it's hopeless...even i drove her to vet...... sorry... since...at the end... i just sat with her....waited till she is gone......... good bye

yes, i agree, it is very sad. i've seen this happen in my soi several times and it's heartbreaking. i have two cats. i took them in as kittens because each one's mother and siblings were killed by the soi dogs.

there must be a way to train your dog not to do this.

Very sad, I'm a catlover and I can't see a cat suffering. I brought already 2 of my cats to the vet to give an injection to die in peace because the vet couldn't do anything anymore. Happy we have no dogs her, let alone soi dogs. Oooh, yes, one of the neighbours has one, but he's smaller than Romeo, 1 of my cats. :-)

that is one traumatic saturday afternoon. nothing left to say but I know how you feel. hang in there. if she lost consciousness she was probably not in pain at that point anyway.

Loburt>>> accept your idea.... cat is not only animal he would attack... bird, mouse as well...

many stray cats are underneath my garden already.... i'm sure it would be more if nothing changes...

i'm thinking about it.... but wonder it might be too late....

thank you for your concern

Yeah seeing things like that break your heart, 2 weeks ago I came home by taxi on a early sunday morning and I saw a small cat which was hit by a vehicle probably just a few moments ago lying on it's side in total panic and making a running movement which made the poor thing spin in circles, probably not realizing it wasn't on it's feet, when I got out of the taxi it just stopped moving and had passed away.

So sorry

The loss of any life is sad. Words really don?t ever seam to cure the pain. Time will eventually ease the hurt and hopefully you can think of your little friend without the ache in your heart.

R.Win>>> you made me remind to another bed experience? a dog was pressed by a car. One day in the morning, I saw a dog tried to cross the road?. 4 lanes road I mean?. Where I was is the 4th lane? near the path in the middle of the road? you can imagine.... there are totally 8 lanes? and there is a path between?

I saw him near the front-left wheel of the car? in front of my car? just a few seconds?

because of another 3 lanes? cars were moving? so that?s why he was rushed to my lane?. The 4th lane? which got a jam that time.

Just a few seconds I saw him? and before I can imagine or worry about him? The cars were moving? of course?the car in front of me as well?

Unbelievable... the front-right wheel of that car pressed him right on the middle of his body.

I?m sure I?m the only one who see this all through?with my mouth opened and my eyes wider?.

For that car, i'm sure he didn?t have any idea what he just did? I?m sure he didn?t see the dog and he would think he pressed on the rock.

I can see why the dog was pressed by the front-right wheel? because he cant step/jump to 1-metre-height path? too high for a medium-size dog.

I got off the car and were standing in the middle of the road? looking at him? he was suffering

My head was blank? I didnt know what to do. I started crying and held him with my arms?

I looked at the car behind me?to let her know what was going on? it seems she can see what I?m doing.

Because of me?standing in the middle of the road?.very traffic jam that time? many people came across (drove through)? looked at me and passed?.. some hit horn.

The dog was getting an convulsion and asphyxiation?. almost time to go?

I moved him from the

I moved him from the road surface to the path and looked at him?. making decision what I should do next?

The pressure was on myself? either i should hold a nearly-dead dog again or move my car?. a girl in the middle of road? hesitating and crying?.

Then, I selected to move my car and thought I could park somewhere? anyway? I couldnt do what I thought? I drove to the office.

Yes, I let him go alone and lonely?

Somehow I blamed myself? why I left him?. and also tried to think how I can do it better?

The answer is still unknown? but I realize that staying with consciousness is the most important?.

PS the day after? I drove there again?. he was there?. peacefully?
